If you are reading this, you are probably aware of the fierce debate surrounding vaccination and looking for information that will allow you to make the best decisions for yourself and your loved ones. Whether you are a parent or a parent to be, sorting through the many arguments on vaccines can be daunting. Still, you need an answer, a definitive one, to the crucial question: Who has it right in the great vaccine debate โ the critics, who claim that vaccines often cause serious harm, or the medical establishment, which tells us that vaccines are safe and effective and the science is settled? Rest assured, you have come to the right place. Turtles All the Way Down: Vaccine Science and Myth will resolve the vaccine question for you, once and for all. By the time you finish reading, not only will you see the answer clearly for yourself, you will also have the scientific references and specific quotes at your disposal that prove it โ more than 1,200 of them โ all from mainstream scientific papers and textbooks, the official publications of relevant government agencies, or manufacturersโ documents. The book consolidates a great deal of information (accompanied by detailed analysis) that is scattered in hundreds of medical articles, books, and websites. All discussion is presented in clear and easy-to-understand language, so no medical education is required. It presents several original concepts in addition to laying a robust scientific foundation for the more established ones. Some of the fundamental vaccine safety issues covered in the book are: How is safety demonstrated before a new vaccine is licensed? What technique do vaccine manufacturers use in clinical trials to make vaccines appear safer than they actually are? What โlast ditchโ technique is employed when the above one cannot be, and what are its grave (and damning) ethical implications? What is the scientific foundation of the safety of vaccination, and what practical tools does this body of science provide physicians to anticipate, diagnose, and treat vaccine injury? What fundamental flaws are built into vaccine adverse events reporting systems, and how are these systems used (or misused) by health authorities to support their safety claims? What kinds of post-marketing vaccine studies are conducted, and how can they be manipulated by researchers to produce โfavorableโ outcomes? Why would researchers want to skew vaccine research, and how could skewed results be promulgated by the scientific community? Why would medical journals publish faulty vaccine science? What is the role of the famed โpeer reviewโ in this process? What are โthe studies that will never be doneโ by the medical establishment and how long it has resisted doing them? (Hint: more than 100 years!) What key CDC-recommended childhood vaccination guidelines were arbitrarily set, without an adequate scientific basis? In addition, three cornerstones of vaccination lore are covered in depth: What is herd immunity, and how does it apply (or not) to the vaccines on the childhood schedule? What role did vaccines actually play in the historical decline of infectious disease? Was the paralysis associated with polio actually caused by the poliovirus? Is there a better explanation for the great paralysis epidemics of the 20th century? What are the โ19 polio mysteriesโ? The book is intended for parents overwhelmed by conflicting messaging on this important topic, but it is also an excellent reference for medical researchers and professionals who seek a better understanding of vaccine safety science. Whether you are new to the vaccine debate or a โveteranโ seeking a deeper grasp of the science, this book is a must-read. It also serves as an excellent primer on vaccination to share with friends and relatives who may benefit from a deep dive into the subject. Review: Well-worth the time and effort. I should have read this sooner. - I finally finished reading this book cover to cover, and browsed the EXCELLENT accompanying references pdf (complete with super-convenient embedded hyperlinks). It took me a long time to finish this book, and that it a deficiency on my part, rather than that of the author(s), who make the subject as digestible as possible, and explain the concepts in a way that even a lay reader with no prior knowledge of the field will be able to navigate. Even a precocious middle-schooler should be able to finish it. If you only pick up one book on the subject, this is worth your time. Iโm delighted to see that an audiobook version was finally released, because I think that will make it a lot more digestible (I personally would have finished it a lot sooner if I hadnโt bought it before the audiobook version came out, and I look forward to going through it again in that format โ seriously, it was that good). That being said, in a book of this size and scope, expect to find parts that take effort to get through, and parts that you canโt put down (and which parts those are will likely vary from reader to reader). The book as a whole is an investment that will pay off, and if I could go back in time and slap myself upside the head, I would have made myself read this before any of the other books I read for new parents. I learned something in every chapter, including the ones where I had some familiarity with the subject matter. The chapter on polio, especially, blew my mind. I hope someday in the coming years the authors can publicly reveal their identities and be recognized for the insane amount of work that went into this labor of love. The treatment of the subject is very systematic, and an especially good format for helping the readerโs retention. Each chapter addresses its subtopics in a good, natural order of progression (and also chronologically where that aids the delivery). Each chapter ends with good summary points helping the reader retain what has been covered, as well as section dealing with counterarguments. The summation at the end of the book is also helpful to tie everything together. Thereโs nothing kooky in here (I admit, I was afraid Iโd find that). The authors are restrained and very careful about where the evidence points and where evidential deficiencies are and what evidence SHOULD exist but doesnโt. They donโt straw-man opposing arguments. Instead, they steel-man those arguments and THEN address them. The authors quote so many primary sources, I canโt imagine the thousands of hours of legwork and thousands of dollars it had to personally cost them to pull all of those together. The accompanying references pdf deserves its own commendatory shout-out. With over 250 pages of references, most of them conveniently hyperlinked and ALL referenced in such a way as to enable readers to easily track down and verify the claims made. This is written by people who WANT readers to check the sources for themselves, and have made it as easy as humanly possible to do so, and it is the opposite of what we see from organizations like the CDC. Review: Outstanding Book, A Must Read for Any New Parent - Very well written, packed with unbiased information.

Follow the Unbiased Science โ If One Can Find Any
This is an extremely well written book, that is easy to read. There ought to be a copy in every house where the inhabitants care about their health and the current quality of medical advice WRT viral diseases and vaccines. The accompanying almost 300 page on-line reference with hot links (one can download) makes the book a more intensive experience that can lead one off into their own personal research. There is so much information to digest that I will certainly be rereading parts of the book again and will keep it readily available as a reference. Chapter 1 is the best discussion I have ever read concerning vaccine clinical trials. Now I finally feel I understand what mumbo-jumbo baloney we are being fed by public health bureaucrats who say โfollow the science and donโt question what we tell you.โ It was staggering to find out, despite the โfollow the scienceโ edicts from the medical community, that more than sixty years of modern vaccine research has provided little theoretical or practical scientific insight into how vaccines hurt people, how to recognize or diagnose adverse events, which individuals are at increased risk for vaccine injury, what factors affect the severity of vaccine injury, or how vaccine-related health injuries can be effectively treated. Worse, one learns that contract research organizations are now used almost exclusively by vaccine companies to test their products in studies where the companies, themselves, basically control the design and results of these supposedly โimpartialโ studies. Meanwhile, so-called โpeer-reviewedโ studies are mostly performed by scientific and medical peers that never have access to the actual trial data that would permit a real independent assessment. So the vaccine companies basically control from beginning to end what little โrealโ scientific research gets performed. Chapters 8 through 10 were absolutely eye-openers for me. They cover the real causes for the decline in infectious disease mortality, the rise in chronic diseases in children, herd immunity and its relationship with vaccination policy and disease eradication, and finally the mysteries of polio (why did some people contract the disease or suffer similar disease symptoms, while most people did not). In fact, inspired by the bookโs online references, my own exploration on polio led to the discovery of research papers published by Frederick R. Klenner, M.D. in the period of the late 1940s thru the early 1970s. One such paper; Frederick R. Klenner; โThe Treatment of Poliomyelitis and Other Virus Diseases with Vitamin C,โ Southern Medicine & Surgery, 111(7), 209-214, July 1949; discusses the effects of administering large doses of sodium ascorbate (a form of vitamin C) to scores of patients suffering from polio with the onset of paralysis, where almost all of them eventually fully recovered from the effects of the "disease," while those not so treated did not. Finally, what I believe most people will find is that oneโs time spent reading this book will be found to be very worthwhile and oneโs view of medicine, disease, and vaccines will be changed for the better, forever.

Long, packed with information, and over 1000 reputable citations provided. Don't be scared!
Very enlightening. Yes, the authors are anonymous (though not uncredentialed.) The book explains why the authors are anonymous. But the reviewers are NOT anonymous! One main thrust of the book is to demonstrate that in spite of all the claims of vaccine safety, in fact, NONE of the vaccines on the recommended childhood vaccine schedule have been subject to the gold standard in vaccine safety studies, which would be a double-blind, true placebo controlled study. The kink comes in the word "placebo." The gold standard would be a truly inert placebo such as saline. In some studies, the placebo used was either ALL the vaccine ingredients EXCEPT the viral component, or in some cases, a previous version of the same vaccine. In these cases, because the vaccine did not cause statistically significant more adverse reactions than the "placebo" it was deigned "safe." The authors ask a good question: if the vaccines are truly safe, why were/are researchers unwilling to do a gold standard safety study? There are over 1000 citations provided for the information in the book and they are reputable journals and sources of information cited by vaccine proponents. The book is LONG, but packed with information. If you are a vaccine proponent, you should try to read and refute the first chapter.

A must read for parents and health care providers!
I preface this review with the fact that I am a lifelong Democrat, and an RN that routinely gave vaccines to infants without hesitation. My own children were fully vaccinated until their toddler years when we experienced vaccine injury in our own family and began to do more research and question. This book is the book parents have been waiting for. It consolidates ALL of the important information on vaccines in one place. And it does it in a way that is not dry or boring. Reading it reminded me of how one of my favorite college professors made political science so interesting that I signed up for her classes for all my electives, even though I wasnโt a political science major. It reads like a Malcom Gladwell book, (if Malcolm Gladwell were brave enough to tackle the subject of vaccines in a meaningful way). As the public becomes more and more informed, healthcare professionals working with โvaccine hesitantโ parents ought to read this book to better understand what they are increasingly up against. Included in the book: -Info on the safety trials for each vaccine on the childhood schedule. -Info on adverse events and the flaws in the adverse event reporting systems. -A crash course on epidemiology that laypeople can understand. -Info on biased science (and why it is biased). -The history of various childhood vaccines and their effect on morbidity and mortality. -Herd immunity- which vaccines can help achieve it and which ones absolutely cannot. -And for anyone who has ever pleaded with a vaccine skeptic, โWhat about polio? Do you want polio to come back?โ A detailed history of polio and polio-like illnesses and the science around them. Because of the massive censorship happening around this topic and the career ending multi-billion pharma driven machine behind it, the author has chosen to remain anonymous. Some will surely write off the book entirely for that, but it would only be a cowardโs way of keeping oneโs head comfortably in the sand. The book comes with a meticulous companion reference guide. Readers are encouraged to read the studies backing up the claims in this book. Itโs all there for you to fact check. This is a time in history that requires courage and critical thinking. Whether you are a parent, a doctor, a nurse, or just an open-minded curious human, it is time to read this book. It is time to learn about Turtles All The Way Down.

Even for a 72 year old man....to be educated on vaccines...this is a must read!
Liked this book. Must read for parents and grandparents... First of all, you are getting this review from a 72 year old man who has not only had every recommended childhood vaccine, but has also participated in vaccine trials for new products between the ages of 67 and 70. Vaccines only really became part of our health practices and way of life when I was a 4-year oldโฆ.the Salk Polio vaccine was introduced in 1955. If you want to learn something about the proliferation of vaccines since that time and maybe like me you have children (and grandchildren) facing the current regimen of 27 vaccines in the first 18 months of their life (compared to the 5 shots, never more than one at a time at a single visit that I received before the age of 2)โฆ.sit down and give this book a serious read. This book at 520 Kindle pages is a serious commitment. Itโs not so medically technical as to be challenging for a young parent to understand, but it is heavily footnoted so for anyone who wants to question the origin or background for the claims made, there is plenty of extra detail from accredited medical journals, the CDC and other reliable sources to give you enough to read for 3 years. If I happened to end up as the guardian of either of my 1 year old grandson, or my 3 month old grandson, I could not with good conscience and having raised children in the early and late 80โs take my grandchildren into a health care provider and subject them to the 2023 vaccine scheduleโฆ.. any more than I would think of subjecting them to taking 7 to 10 different medications at one time if they had a cold, fever, runny nose, eczema, unknown allergy or 5 other things kids of today deal with when we watch them. This is a great read. Believe meโฆ.it wonโt turn you in to an anti-vaxxerโฆ.but you certainly will question whether the CDC, FDA and other health agencies are doing their job in studying the totality of the impact of the current vaccine schedule and whether it has your childrenโs health interests in mind.

Get an actual hardcopy before it's impossible to find
A book like this, a real paradigm shifter if there ever was one, comes along once every decade or so. Be sure to pick up an actual paper copy before it becomes very difficult to obtain as it proves big pharma and the health industrial complex often don't have you or your kids best interest at heart. It's thoroughly researched and meticulously documented to back up every incendiary question of fact or truth claim that could possibly arise. The first sections of the book painstakingly detail how most vax trials take place with a control group versus a trial group. However, the control group is more often than not not an authentic control group but rather a group that's all ingested a previous vaccine. This of course makes any results highly suspect. Chapters that massively illuminate deal with the "pure science myth" and McKeon's research regarding improved sanitation. The former debunks the notion that scientific research is done by cool-headed, neutral disinterested observers dedicated to nothing but truth, facts, and optimal health outcomes. This simply is not the case, clear biases and conflicts of interest abound. McKeon's unbelievably astonishing and invaluable research demonstrated that for much of the ailments of the 19th Century and 20th Century, it wasn't necessarily vaccines that did the trick, it was govt mandated and produced health and sanitation clean-up policies and improvements that saved the day. The last portion of 'Turtles Down' deals extensively with polio and the fact that it was very likely a malady derived from toxic pesticides applied to crops. It's sensational and relatively groundbreaking information that definitely has the ring of truth to it. It's worth the price of the book alone. As chronic illnesses in children increase simultaneous to this relatively new massive cocktail of vaccines doled out to them, it's imperative that parents, teachers, doctors, concerned citizens, intellectuals, and activists read, re-read, and re-read "Turtles all the Way Down."

You must read this for the sake of our children and family
It is a masterpiece, there are more than 1200 references they used to support the claims. It's mind-blowing, you will find out some versions you never heard about vaccines, big pharma and government agencies and how the withhold the information and lie to us in some ways. I would say you can't trust all that is printed in this book ans you should do your homework as well, but the scientific support and all the data provided make you think there is no way they took all the time to review all that data and dates and facts just to be controversial, no way. Just give it a try and be open-minded because, trust me and trust your gut, all those big companies and agencies don't want the best for your and your beloved ones

The best book on the history of vaccines
This is truly a must read if you're into searching for the truth behind "the narrative". I've read other books about vaccines but this is the best so far!

Eye opener!
Great book that tells you how the bigpharma work to make sure to get you taking the vaccines. The 2 others are adding after each chapter a couple of questions which you can ask your GP in case you have doubts. Very good book!
