These are a great gift for my 4 year old to refine his fine motor skills and great to have for my 1 year old when he gets old enough to work on these skills too. We can also use these to work on shapes, colors and matching etc. all around a wonderful gift for both my boys ages and beyond.

5 colors but 4 colored Laces makes no sense

Do not give this to a child that likes to put things in their mouth. My 3 year old is past that stage. But she sometimes does try to put these in her mouth because they are smooth and shiny plastic. I'm worried that the sphere and cylindrical shaped ones could be a choking hazard. I only let her play with these if I'm right there with her. You may want to remove the cylindrical ones just to be safe.These are cute beads. They are different shapes and are easy to thread. The strings are shoelaces. I knot one end so the beads don't fall off.The laces are long enough that you can make necklaces with these which you can then put over your head. Lot of fun and also great for color recognition.
