Absolutely excellent wallet
Outstanding quality and design. Like many people I carried my old wallet because it did the job. It's not meant to be a conversation piece or a fashion statement, just functional and practical. But it was old, and decidedly too big. There are several other companies who design thin or minimalist wallets. There were two shortcomings which ruled these out as choices. First, they would not accommodate approximately 11 credit card size items. Second, complainants about the stitching failing after a short time. The reviews of the Trayvax had no mention of such problems, and other purchasers spoke of the quality. I made the purchase and have been pleased with the customer service and wallet. The wallet was delivered ahead of time, in a well designed box which had the signature card and thank you from the person who made the wallet. A nice touch. I read the instructions on how to stretch the wallet to accommodate 9 to 11 cards, as well as viewed online videos. Not wanting to damage the wallet for lack of not doing this stretching properly, I emailed Trayvax for additional advice, They replied to my email promptly, professionally in a "down to earth" message which to me conveyed sincerity. I was impressed. In order to stretch the wallet you are directed to soak it in warm water for 10 minutes, insert the cards you intend to use AND place their expansion card on the top. Following their directions I started by getting 6 cards into the wallet. I let the wallet dry, used the snap (which is actually a rivet) to help it expand for a few days. Again I took this expanding of the wallet slowly so as not to cause any damage. The next soaking I used "hot" water from a kitchen faucet. It seemed to me the wallet became more supple with the hotter water than than "warm" water. Perhaps Trayvax suggests warm in fear of some folks trying boiling hot water, who knows. After this soaking 11 cards, plus 4 folded currency bills fit nicely. One of the ideas behind the design of the wallet was to utilize the "window" on the top for an ID card, and being able to slide the cards out with your thumb, or whatever finger you prefer. In my case the choice for the top card was a credit card which is used often. It was after using the wallet for a while there was a problem with the security chip being read on my card. I thought that was curious. An inspection of the card revealed scratches going directly across the security chip. Turns out there was a combination of 3 things which caused the issue. First, the top card in the wallet was a credit card. Second, the way the card had been placed in the wallet, the chip was sliding directly along the bottom of the rivet. Third, had card been turned with the security chip towards the bottom of the wallet, or the wallet had been stretched just a little more, this would not have occurred. I thought this information might prove useful for another buyer to know. I stretched the wallet one more time in hot water, with the expansion card, and all is good. The wallet is American made, with high quality materials and conscientious manufacturing. The bottle opener does work. I haven't been able to test the wallet's ability to thwart cards being read by a thief's scanner but the frame of the wallet should prevent covert scanning. And perhaps I missed it in the reading, but I'm not quite certain what the ribbed edge does?? Interestingly, I recently went shopping and when I took out my wallet, the cashier noticed the wallet, asked if I wouldn't made if he took a picture. I have since come to find he purchased a Trayvax wallet as well. Again it's a great product.

Trayvax Element
This is an awesome wallet! The quality is all there. It’s gonna take some getting use to coming from a regular bifold, but I can manage that. This thing is built to last. I appreciate what trayvax is doing, proud to buy from an American company. However I was wondering why the wallet is a full 20$ more here on amazon vs their website.( I looked after buying it on here) anyhow for 80$ it’s expensive for a wallet, and I doubt many of you will drop that on this, but I can tell ya it’ll be the last wallet I’ll ever need If I decide to keep to this one.The frame is made out of a heavy steel (you’ll feel the weight) and the leather is approx a 1/4inch thick top-grain oil tanned leather. Both of these together create indestructible. It’s all held together by a thick paracord (not sure what the tensile strength on that is, but I’m sure they’d put something that can do 700-1000lbs.) I’d highly recommend this if you’re going for a minimalist look while looking like a bad **s mo go. I can fit 7 cards and 3 bills of cash as seen in the picture. Any more than that, is stretching it. Trayvax includes alittle card with instructions on how to “mold” the wallet to your preferences: basically I submerged the wallet it warm water for 10 min. Right after I pulled the wallet out of the bowl, I put my cards in there and allowed it to fully dry. It seems to have molded perfectly for my preference. Once you do this tho, there’s no going back with carrying a smaller amount of cards as the leather will be stretched. If you’re looking for a costanza replacement, this definitely isn’t it. This is basically a bad**s end of the world minimalist wallet.

Love this wallet
I have had the Original wallet for about 8 years and the Velcro finally started to tear. I bought this wallet the other day and absolutely love it. Feels good, smells good, and is just overall nice. Feels like a quality products.

A Lot of wallet for lots of bucks
I decided I wanted to try something different so after reading a zillion reviews on this wallet I decided to spend close to $100 bucks on this contraption ,... I figured some of the reviewers musta been on drugs or something cuz it's litterly a piece of metal with some leather wrapped around it , I was sooo sure I'd hate the thing but I remember reading one review saying to try it out for a week before making a hasty decision ,...so that's what I decided to do ,...after soaking it in water and adding my every day cards to dry to fit I was off and running ,... such a weird wallet but after using it for awhile it Seems kinda natural ,...I was so sure I'd hate this stupid thing but it's actually pretty cool ,... my only real complaint would be the initial cost , functionality it's very well thought out and works nicely .

Great wallet
Great wallet. I don't use it for cash, but it holds my credit and debit card, passport card, medical card and license easily. (Extra items (AAA card, various membership cards and cash) are in a separate wallet that I keep as needed.). I've connected mine to my keychain so I don't loose my wallet. Using a tile with replaceable battery the same way so I don't lose it.

Worth every penny.
Have had this in my pocket for quit awhile now, it has held up like the beast it is. It has nary a scratch and the leather is barely scuffed. Use it all the time for opening bottles and even once as a hammer, again it's a badass.Only short comings are if you have a lot of cards it is limited on how many bills you can carry, and of it gets close to full can be a bit hard to snap close.Would I by another??? Hell yes I would, I would buy anything Travax sells, so if their higher end wallets are too pricey, the less expensive models should be the same high quality.
