Bernat Blanket Yarn Super Bulky Soft Chenille Yarn Vintage White 2-Pack

I’ve used this yarn for multiple projects over time and keep coming back to it. Whether I’m crocheting or knitting, it has been reliable and easy to work with. The biggest thing I notice is how soft it is without feeling flimsy. Some plush blanket yarns start shedding, splitting, or become frustrating when you have to undo stitches. This one has held up much better than many I’ve tried. I use Bernat Blanket yarn most often for amigurumi because it creates soft, sturdy finished pieces with good texture. I’ve also used it for knitted blankets, and it works well for larger projects too. The finished projects feel cozy and hold their shape nicely. One thing I really appreciate is that it frogs (rips back) better than expected for a bulky plush yarn. Anyone who knits or crochets regularly knows that having to undo rows is just part of the process. I haven’t felt like I was destroying the yarn every time I needed to back up and fix something, which matters more than people realize. The Stormy Ocean color is beautiful, and the yarn quality has been consistent in my experience. Overall, this is one of those yarns I continue buying because I know what I’m getting: soft, dependable, and versatile enough for everything from stuffed animals to blankets. Easy 5 stars from me.

I absolutely love this yarn!! I used it to make a blanket for the beach and it’s perfect for my sofa. As with chunky yarn it’s hard to see stitch definition but it’s just so easy to work with and works up so quickly. I did not notice shedding with this yarn. The grandkids enjoy snuggling and tend to fight over it. Guess I will have to make another one or two. A good purchase and lots of colors to choose from.

I used this to make my husband a blanket and it’s easily my favorite blanket yarn. It’s thick and has a nice weight to it, but is still really easy to work with. I’ve had very little trouble with shedding, and the bulky size makes projects work up pretty quickly. It’s also super soft and could easily be used for blankets, pillows, or other cozy projects. For the quality and amount you get, I think it’s worth the money. Definitely the yarn I’ll keep reaching for!

In my 4 years of crochet Bernat blanket yarn has become my favorite yarn. It is considered a super bulky yarn (fyi for your hook size), soft, does not shed (unlike other similar yarns), has a nice heft — not for summer blankets! 😁 — and holds up great. Buying in bulk like this also saves so much money which is key when you’re making a big blanket. Love it and always restock when I’m running low.

I am absolutely thrilled with this yarn! I recently learned how to crochet. With all of the kiddos wanting their own blankets I figured it was a good idea to try a number of different yarns. This one I am keeping for myself (which was the reason I learned to crochet, I wanted a specific size blanket for my chair). I've just gone back to order more of this brand because it is so good. Easy to work with, even with a moss stitch or bobble. Very little, to no, shedding yet actually holds stitches unlike many of the other chenille yarn I've tried. Warm, light, easy yet strong. Amazing

The yarn deserves 6 stars - it's pretty, soft and easy to work with. The description on Amazon however, along with the unit price is not accurate - I only got 2 skeins, when the unit price indicates that there should be 4 in the package. The problem is - if you need 4 skeins and you only get 2, you have to re-plan the project. I would have loved to get what Amazon said I would get - and what Amazon still has on their website.

I was so excited to try Bernat finally. First of all, Amazon sent me only one skein instead of two, but they were very nice and we managed to solve the issue quickly. Then I was quite disappointed in the yarn. Some parts of the skein are very soft and good to work with, but a lot of parts are flat, as if most of the fluffy part is missing, and it burns my tension finger! I know a little inconsistency can happen in a skein, but this was way too much.

The yarn came just as described. In great condition and this is a solid quality.
