L'Oreal Paris Colorista 1-Day Washable Temporary Hair Color Spray, Silver, 2 Ounce

This stuff is great for what it is. Temporary color. It sprays on and the silver is really silver. I have blonde/light brown hair with silver running through it. I want more silver but not up to spending big bucks for permant color and possibly destroying my hair. This does the trick with no worries. Couple of suggestions. Use towel on shoulders. Also some tissue around neck if your hair is short. Do all your hair styling before doing face make up. You will have to use a washcloth to wipe any spray on forehead and face. Comes off easily. It is worth it because the color is great. Sparkles. After done spraying do a bit of styling and use spray or whatever to finish you hair. This stuff is not for anyone who keeps running her fingers through her hair....you will end up with silver on hands. No worries though because soap and water removes it. Just kinda funky to have silver finger tips, so once done leave it alone! For the price and least hassle this is the bomb! Highly recommend. Oh, one other thing. It takes a lot of this stuff to do a short hair style if you want a lot of color. Do it outside or in very well ventilated area. Basically like spray paint so consider if you want to have silver dusted floors and counters. It is a lot of fun to use. Price makes it all the better.

I used this spray for a Halloween costume, and it worked perfectly to give me a great Proto Zoa-inspired look! The silver color is vibrant and shows up well, even on darker hair. It’s easy to apply and dries quickly without making a mess. While it does leave hair feeling a bit stiff, that’s expected with temporary sprays, and it’s not overly bothersome. The best part is that it washes out easily with one shampoo, so there’s no long-term commitment. It’s a great option for special occasions or costumes when you want to stand out!

I have long (hips length) fine straight black hair and nothing ever sticks to it. When I first opened the can, there was a chemical smell but it wasn't overwhelming. After I covered my whole head (which took the whole can) I was shocked. It looked amazing. There's this glitter to the color so even when it was cloudy, my hair was still shimmering. I will say that this transfers pretty easily. So if I rubbed up against someone, their shoulder would then be grey and glittery. It doesn't stain though, so it's not an issue. My hair wasn't hard after applying the product like hairspray can be but some of my baby hair felt a little stiff. Most of the color washed away after the first shower. I noticed some left over on some strands. All the color washed after three showers. Good product

I would definitely recommend this product! I actually got it for a senior citizen costume and it worked perfectly! Easy application and covered my whole head and most of my friend's. Washed out pretty easily and lasted all night. I would definitely buy this again!

I purchased it for the 100th school day for my daughter, to dress up like an old lady. It is definitely silver, and not grey. It did the job. Got her hair silver/grey looking (see pictures, I did not spray a lot) her natural hair is dark brown. However, it stains EVERYTHING it touches, it basically rubs off on anything. My daughter told me all her friends who tried to touch her hair got silver hands, it got all over my hands and the brush. It was also not easy to wash out. You can see on the last photo, even after a wash, there were still grey streaks left in my daughter’s hair (she does have thick hair though)

My natural color when younger is dark brown, but I've had gray since my early 20's. I'm 61 now. Until recently I've colored lighter brown with blonde highlights to help hide the roots. I finally decided to let my gray come in, but I was worried how the gray roots would look. My colorist recommended purpose shampoo and conditioner to tone down the yellow, which has helped. I found this silver spray and it is perfect! My gray roots are now about 2 inches. I dry and style my hair, and then I spray, maybe 4-6" away from my hair, more of a mist moving constantly, spraying all over. My hair is not quite shoulder length, and I use half a can for one application, it lasts until my next shampoo. I wouldn't say it's stiff, but rather it gives my fine hair some substance. It's brushable too. It does come off on my hands if I touch it, but washes off easily. Sometimes I get some spray on my face, I just use a q-tip to remove. I spray before getting dressed to avoid getting it on my clothes. I plan to use this as my gray grows out, and probably even after because I have a patch at the back that is darker that I will want to even out. I showed my colorist and she is also recommending this to her clients who also want to grow out their gray! First 2 pics are before spraying, the last 3 are after. Update 10 months later: My gray is almost completely grown in, except for the ends of some longer strands are still blonde/light brown. I’m still using this spray to cover these areas but I need much less. It was such an easy transition and I’ve gotten many compliments. I highly recommend this for anyone thinking about letting your gray go natural. My $160 color and highlights for 2 hrs every 6 weeks is now a $40 cut in 20 min!

Dealing with female baldness. I am 81 and am losing my hair. The scalp shows all over. This product covers the bald spots and makes my hair look great! It is so easy to use. Perfection!

Used in beard. Held for a few hours no problem. Washes out quickly.

Does rub off but is quite pigmented and can cover my dark original hair pretty well. Good for half day dress up.

Works well as long as you don't have super dark hair, It's small so you might need two cans if you have long hair though

Don't use it on formerly blonde hair as it can make your hair look purple; also do a test first to see how it interacts with your hair colour. I love it and use it all the time, but one of my friends who also has white hair, but is a former blonde, it did not react well with her hair colour at all. I don't need to order it any more from Amazon because it is now available easily at Shoppers Drug Mart stores.
