USED AS FIRE-STARTERS FOR OUR WOOD STOVE.
They surly fulfilled there purpose of starting the fires in our wood burning stove, better than newsprint or even kindling. These pinecones burned fairly slow, but hot enough to ignite the kindling and logs. However, used in conjunction with newsprint and kindly, the fire stayed lit a little longer as well, whereas, using them without the newsprint and kindling did not. Also, the smell was magnificent. I do, however, think the cost was a little exuberant for as many as I got. I do recommend these pinecones though, especially if you can’t find them, or don’t have the means to climb mountains and get them yourself.
