Barely works
I can confidently tell you that this thing did not win any awards. It can barely and I mean really barely grind Pepper. The settings for coarseness are entirely useless. It makes no difference. And if you said it to be too fine, the whole thing just stops working. This is a waste of money.

It does not grind
This is totally ineffective as a spice grinder. I tried with peppercorns and it jammed after 1 second of grinding and does not work.

Really like it. Super easy to use and to swap pods. I going to be honest, it is one of those buys where I after ordering though it was a bad choice, I mean I have salt and pepper mills already, but than again I said the same thing about the iPad.

The kitchen gadget you did not know you needed!
I have a good quality pepper mill but needed another grinder for salt and other spices. I received an email for this product from a food website I belong to, and it looked very interesting, so I came to Amazon to see if it was available here and to my great joy, it was! After doing a bit of research, I decided to order one and chose the red one as it had a $10 coupon to boot. As usual, my package arrived the next day and I quickly opened it and installed batteries and filled both pods, one with black peppercorns and the other with coarse kosher salt. Then I hit the button.Let me tell you, the awards are well deserved. I like the LED that lights up to show exactly where your spice is going, and this mill grinds FAST! And it only needs ONE hand, not two like most mills. But the pods are where it really shines. Having one spice mill that can so easily swap out one spice or salt for another, without having to clean it out or deal with cross-contamination, is a real game changer. If you enjoy cooking, and consider yourself to be a good cook, or just WANT to improve your cooking skills, you owe it to yourself to get one of these. It is one of those rare kitchen gadgets that will actually make a difference in your cooking. Now I will have to order a few extra pods because while the two pods it comes with are a great start, they are only a beginning to a long friendship with this FinaMill that I know will last for years to come. I just can't say enough good things about it. You will not regret buying one and if you have friends like mine, they will probably order one after seeing yours. I have two friends who already have!
