Silk iPhone X Tough Case - SILK Armor Protective Rugged Grip Cover - Guardzilla - Includes Tempered Glass Screen Protector - Crystal Clear

Have only had case for a few days and haven't had any drops yet, so can't speak to how effectively it protects from drops, but here are my initial impressions. Case seems well built. The front lip keeps screen from contacting flat surfaces when phone is set face down and the camera on the rear is similarly protected. The sides of the case have a raised pattern that aids in gripping, although the rubber is still a little slick to my touch. The corners of the case have added thickness and seem well protected. All buttons work fine with phone in the case and the case does not hinder the screen in any way. The case has a nice snug fit, but it is not hard to remove the phone from the case either. Silk did a nice job of balancing ruggedness and protectiveness while minimizing added bulk. A previous reviewer mentioned that the rubber at the bottom center of the case (where the charging port is) is a bit on the thin side and I tend to agree in comparing to say an Otterbox Symmetry which I put in the same class of case type as this one. I'm also putting some faith in Silk that the rubberized back of the case will protect the glass back of the iPhone X as well as a case with a harder shelled back such as the Otterbox Symmetry might. I mention the Symmetry case as I have it on my other phone (iPhone 7) and it has served its purpose well. I was deciding between the Symmetry and this case and ultimately decided to go with the Silk Armor due to the interesting aesthetics of the back of the case. I just hope it protects as well as the Symmetry. It’s nice that Silk includes a separate screen protector, however I didn't find it to be cut to fit as precisely as others and without a frame/guide to apply it, I didn't find it to be of much use. I'd rather see Silk un-bundle the screen protector from the case and reduce the price of the case which I think would present a better overall value.

So far this case seems great. It is thin and doesn’t make the phone seem bulky. The grip on the sides of the case make the phone easy and comfortable to hold. The pattern on the back gives the phone a cool look. It doesn’t have a built in screen protector, which I’d prefer, but so far the tempered glass seems pretty decent. The buttons click so you know when they are pressed. I haven’t dropped the phone, but it feels like it’s protected pretty well for not being bulky.

From the first touch I like this cover very much. It is Soft on touch, flexible and same time fits tight around the phone. After spending half day, looking for the case for my (X) I was really disappointed that there is nothing "reliable" to protect and same time to show the beauty of my phone. Most of the transparent one cases are getting yellow with the time. Last one I had (40$) Spek now after 3 months is very ugly yellow. So there is actually not a big choice to look for. But this one is a interesting decision. It is still transparent (not fully) and you can see the color of you phone. The same time the scratches on the transparent side will not be so much visible like with any other one. And the touch I really enjoy the touch of this case. It is like sticking to your hand and you can feel the grip with the phone. The back side laying on the table on flat surface is not slipping at all so it is also kind of safe.Summary for the moment - I do enjoy very much this case and the touch and the quality and the look. Let's see how it will go further on.I really DO recommend this product to the people who want to enjoy the phone and be safe in hands with it!

The tempered glass protector shipping protective covering was torn and the glass cover has a scratch in it which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Had that not been an issue I would have given it 5+. My previous phone protector ( iPhone 6s) was an Otter; which was much heavier than this. I now have a iPhone X and Otter offered no screen protector, which is why I chose this one. UPDATED 08-10-18 I immediately heard back from Silk Customer Service and a replacement protector is on it's way to me.

Have been looking for this case, it is so well thought out and has a very sleek look. The sides have a nice feel with a non slip grip (but not rubbery). The back also provides a good non-slip grip and shows some of the pretty glass effect of my silver “x”. The protection of the camera lens area is my favorite feature. Nicely done!

I love that it comes with a tempered glass cover. Not all of them do.It is simple and not over complicated. It looks sleek yet feels durable.The BEST thing about the case is how the lips elevate over the phone’s screen. Even if it drops, the screen won’t touch the ground.This is the best case I have ever bought on Amazon.

I've dropped my phone multiple times with this case and you cannot tell! (I even semi threw it during a road race when I was pulling my phone out of my pocket. It bounced on the pavement a few times and still no damage to the phone or case.) I love the protection without having to have a bulky case. I do have a screen protector as well.

This is an absolutely beautiful case. It is my primary case for my new phone. The lips stick it out over the glass to protect it and the back of the products let’s your phone show through.

Bought this case because the reviews sounded promising, having an iPhone X I wanted the best protection in the unfortunate event of me dropping it, it’s safe to say that it does just that. It has raised bits around the camera and the screen so when it’s laid on a table it avoids scuffing. The material is quite thick, like a hard rubber almost, it doesn’t slip from your hands. Overall very happy!
