Elegant looking.
This is just what I was looking for. Perfect size for a beginner. Sturdy and pleasing to the eye. Made well. Would purchase again.

Product pics do NOT do it justice.
This thing is just beautiful. I knew the measurements when I ordered it. But somehow I just imagined it bigger and clunkier than it is. When it arrived it was smaller, daintier and much prettier than I imagined. I'm thrilled with it. I'm using it as a terrarium. Well really a snail-arium. In collecting moss and other plants for terrariums, I discovered extremely tiny land snails in the dirt that are native to most of the U.S. They're only 1 to 2 mm in diameter and their teeth are so tiny that they can only eat plant matter that is already decaying. I actually feed them boiled lettuce that has been nourished with organic plant food. I'm including a close-up picture in my photos, in the lower right area of the photo you will be able to see one of the tiny white snails. The genus is vallonia. This container is not watertight. I looked high and low for something that was cute that also happened to be watertight. Couldn't find it. Not at the size I wanted. If it was water tight, it was usually ugly. If it was cute, it usually wasn't watertight. So I used some black aquarium silicone sealant to make the bottom two inches watertight so that I would not have to worry about keeping my terrarium watered. It was an easy fix and I'm glad I went to the small amount of extra effort it took in order to have this beautiful little garden box. If you were just raising succulents or cacti that require very little water you probably don't need to seal the bottom, you probably only need to slip a tray underneath it every few months when you water them. But if you are going to keep a terrarium you will either need to make the bottom few inches water tight, or keep a tray underneath. As snails cannot be in an enclosed terrarium, they require more oxygen than it can provide, I only sealed the bottom couple inches because I wanted the extra air flow in the seams just in case I didn't get around to opening the terrarium on some days. Anyway I absolutely love this little thing and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. The only downside I can possibly think of is that when I went to clean the glass prior to use it seemed like the black from the seams smudged off and made smudges onto the glass. Those smudges could be cleaned off but it made the glass difficult to get really nice and clean. Using some really good microfiber cloths seemed to solve that problem though. Just a heads up. Ps - for anyone wondering, the moss in my photos is real, but the tiny plants are faux ones that I added for some extra cuteness. Shelly C.

Now I want more
Very cute! I’ve had it for some time now. A hinge did break off because the thing you use to prop it open needs to be on the inside when you close the lid otherwise it can snap the top hinge off. Looking for a replacement barrel hinge now. I used silicone caulk to seal the bottom edges and it stopped it from leaking when I water my plants. Right now getting some moss to grow in it.

It's perfect
This is a cute terrarium! I really like the shape and the latch to open/close the door. I wish I ready the description a bit more because it was smaller than I anticipated but that's on me! I have a fussy nerve plant and it is THRIVING in this! No issues with leaking but it does come with a tray so I wouldn't have to worry. The glass was a better quality than I expected.

Beautiful Case
Got this item as a gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it! Beautiful casing for any plants and very durable. The size of unit is perfect and it's great value for what you pay.

Pretty look, poor design
It's pretty but it is not water tight, defeating the purpose of using it for a plant terrarium

Cutest way to propagate my succulents!
This little greenhouse has big Victorian Solarium vibes, and it's beautifully made. My first one came with the bottom glass broken, but the seller immediately replaced it. It's very small-- I keep it on a slightly-wider than usual window sill. It's not watertight, but that's not a problem for me, as I use it to propagate succulents so I only ever mist the plants in there. Great product! Might buy another one if I run out of propagation space.
