Worked at home but not in classroom
PROs: Price, build features - particularly like the fit in the microHDMI port of a Yoga2 Pro - which, unfortunately, is rather delicate and easy to break with a looser fitting male plug. Worked w multiple monitors I house. CONs: No documentation included that might describe when the USB power is required in terms or requirements for power (amperage). Also the VGA end of the adapter rattles, appears something inside the case is loose. Could not get this to work with a classroom projector, I assume from not understanding the power requirements. Neither the powered port of the Yoga, nor a 5V/1A phone charger got it to work. As visitors, we did not have the details of the projector for further diagnosis, however the projector worked fine with a laptop w/built-in VGA port. For my primary use case of a 2nd monitor it works quite well, so I’m keeping it, particularly because it really is the most secure fitting to this particular laptop I’ve yet found. I’ve had 5-6 of them, one of which was always loose and eventually broke the internal tongue connector in the laptop microHDMI. Other reviews show it working for projectors so possibly we ran into an edge case/mismatch.

Used to convert Raspberry Pi 5 HDMI to VGA and Audio....needed to provide my own 5 volt power source...not a problem with any number of old chargers laying around...Anbear even included the appropriate power cable and audio 3-ring connector cable.

Compré este producto para poder aprovechar unos monitores viejos que sólo aceptan conexión VGA. Los conecté a mi Raspberry Pi 4 con este adaptador y han funcionado muy bien. Eso sí, el adaptador se tiene que conectar a una fuente de poder de 5V no incluída, aunque sirve cualquier cargador de celular con ese fin.
