PetArmor 7-Way Dog Dewormer Small 6-25 lbs, 6-Count Chewable

Love this PetArmor 7-way de-wormer for my small dog. It works fast and the chews are easy, no vet visit or prescription needed. It covers seven worm types, which is a huge relief for total parasite protection. Affordable too, so keeping up with treatment is simple. My puppy tolerated it well and the flavor isn't overpowering. Safe for puppies and small dogs, which is a big plus. Really happy with this purchase.

Its a fact of life; all puppies and kittens have worms. And nearly all the time, when you adopt a new animal, and someone tells you it's been dewormed, it either hasn't, or it's been treated with only pyrantel pamoate, which alone only works for pinworms - which dogs do not usually carry. What you really need is this; prazinquantel/pyrantel, which treats for tapeworms and roundworms. Also consider adding ivermectin, which prevents and treats heartworms - which are carried by mosquitoes. Tapeworms are carried by fleas. Roundworms are commonly transmitted through mother's milk. Which is why both are common in puppies. My chi-corgi Nike had the tapeworm pictured, and my longhaired chihuahua Nina had the roundworms pictured. Both parasites are highly transmittable to humans! So deworming is as important for yours and your family's health as your dog. Most especially if you sleep with them in the bed! Both dogs I treated at 8 wks, 12 wks, and 16 wks with 1/4 of a pill per pup each treatment. These "large dog" pills are 114mg and should be quartered and dosed at 28.5mg for young pups of all breeds. Yes, even the tiny ones. A load of parasites can really harm a pups health, especially small breeds weighing 1lb or less. It can kill them. I use the 114mg quartered bc its wayyy more cost effective than buying the 30mg pills dosed for smaller dogs and pups, seeing as 2 pills only come in each box. This way 1 box gets me 8 full doses, not just 2. Some dogs will get a touch of diarrhea right after dosing... but it's just them clearing the parasites, and that's worth it. Both my dogs passed the worms w/in 6-24 hrs after the 1st dose. The 2nd and 3rd doses are just to clear up any larvae or eggs that were not killed the first round. This brand of dewormer is beef flavor and both my dogs took it no problem, just like a flintstones vitamin. Adult dogs should be dosed again every 1-3mos, just depending on how much your dog gets into, and whether they have exposure to fleas and skeeters. Hello everyone. I wanted to share my experience with the deworming PetArmor 7 Way De-Wormer I bought for my dog. In short, I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It is a product that complies, is accessible and gets you out of a hurry without going to the vet, but it has a small detail that subtracts the star. Strong Points (Why is it almost a 5) Effectiveness Checked: The most important thing is that it works. My dog had a parasite problem, and the day after the dose I noticed a clear difference. Act quickly against the 7 species it promises (various types of tapeworms, worms and hookworms). Price vs. Veterinary: The cost is much more affordable than the deworming pill I get at the clinic. For me, who need to deworm it regularly, it's a huge savings without sacrificing the quality of treatment. Easy to Give (almost always): The format is chewable tablets, and my dog, which is medium/large in size, ate it without much trouble, camouflaged in a piece of sausage or its food. I didn't have to fight with pills or liquids. The Detail (The Missing Star) The only but: Although it worked perfectly for my dog, I have read that other dogs may fall a little heavy. Mine got a little upset stomach (some soft stool) a few hours after taking it. It was mild and passed quickly, but it's a reminder that not all stomachs react the same. So if your dog is very sensitive, you have to be vigilant. My Verdict: It is a high quality solution (vet-quality type as they say) to deworm at home, super effective and economical. I simply advise you to give it to them one day that you can be at home just in case it gives them a little scramble. No smell. Perfect size. Totally recommended as the main option outside the clinic!

If you look in the dictionary under Picky Eater you will see a picture of my dog. She won't eat a peice of steak without first rolling her top lip up and snipping it for a minute. I have had ZERO luck getting her to take any of the so-called chewable dog medications. That changed with this product. Just for fun I just gave her one to see if she would eat it and to my shock and awe, she did. I gave her the second pill in the dose and she ate that one too. If you have a picky eater or a dog that is "pill-smart", then I highly recommend this dewormer.

I have ordered this before. This is twice I've ordered this. I will continue to order from this company as they have a great product. The worming medicine has gotten rid of all my puppies worms, I just gave her, her every 6 months dose I believe that is where we are at and i gave to my chihuahua as well. I love the fact that I don't need to measure or guess what to what bc it says right on the pkg, how many pounds and its a 7 way which means any type of worm, including heart! Im also going to follow up with a natural antibiotic i found on here, as it too expells nasty parasites. I will review it as well. Honestly!? 5 plus stars and highly recommend!

To be honest, I had high expectations due to the reviews I read when I purchased this flea treatment. However, it did not work at all for my dog. The fleas actually may have got even worse. I don't know why it was so ineffective, but we followed the directions perfectly and it just simply didn't work for our blue nosed pit bull puppy. The reason for 3 stars is because the company responded to my inquiry about what could be the problem. They nailed it on the customer service. Even though we couldn't come up with an effective solution getting this product to work on the fleas, it was such good service it is worth noting. They were quick to respond and were eager to help. It was nice to see a company that really cares about not only the performance of the product, but clearly and obviously cared about the well being of our dog. I wish it would have worked so we could continue to support these guys, but with all the positive reviews they have on here clearly they have a good product, it just didn't work in our dog (or our sabre tooth mutant fleas)
