I absolutely LOVE my new jacket!! For reference I am: 5'8 1/2" 300 lbs Pear Shaped Hip: 60" Waist: 46" I ordered a size 4X (which is roomy for layers) in the Grape color. (I honestly believe I could have ordered the 3X and it would have fit perfect) Here's a little backstory...We moved to Bahrain 2 1/2 years ago and left all of our winter clothes in storage back in the states because who needs winter clothes in 120 degree heat?? Well, we planned a trip to Germany for Christmas this year and guess what? WE NEED WINTER CLOTHES!! I am plus size woman and have had to order all of my clothes online while living here. (This stresses me out because I am so hard to fit!) I am pear shaped, I carry my weight in my butt, hips, thighs, but also my arms...I usually need the waist of a 22 and the legs of a 24/26 depending on the cut...so lets just say online clothes shopping/trying to determine my size from reviews is EXHAUSTING! I went round and round for months researching winter coats for myself and wondering "would they fit??" We were getting down to the wire and I needed to make a decision. I fell in love with this coat online but desperately wanted it in black but they were sold out in my size :( so I kept shopping around but found myself always coming back to this coat. I bit the bullet and ordered the coat...praying it was true to the color on the computer screen (wine) and not bright purple. The coat arrived on time and when I pulled it out I was instantly in love! The color was even prettier in person!! It's a beautiful deep wine color! I love that there is small high-vis piping on some of the seams that will definitely come in handy at night wearing a dark coat. I love the color of the fur trim (tan), the fur is big and fluffy just what I wanted. There is a bungee around the hood to pull it tighter to your face, but I do wish there was also an adjustment on the back of the hood. The hood is rather large and could definitely use that extra adjustable feature. Also, for me I wish there was one more snap or interior bungees on the sides to cinch in more but I know that I have this problem with just about every top. The jacket is super warm and has tons of pockets! I honestly don't know if I will need my "extra layers" I purchased to keep me warm. All in all I am super happy with my purchase and would absolutely order this jacket again! I hope this helps :)

This coat arrived just in time for the big storm. I really like how warm it is and I love the color (I got the red). The hood is nice and stays up, but the fur fringe can end up blocking a bit of vision. The coat is a great length, I wore it around Bryant park and the cold wind definitely would have frozen my cheeks if I hadn't worn this coat. The sleeve length is perfect and I really like that it is roomy enough for a thick underlayer to be worn on the coldest days, hasn't happened yet, but winter isn't over yet. The zipper is heavy duty and sturdy and so far, has never faltered or caught on my other clothing. My only complaint is with the way the hood is attached to the coat. It is attached with buttons! One of the buttons has already come off. The buttons are small (like the kind you find on a button up blouse) and they have just two holes, which means this one will not be the first to fall off. I can sew the button back on, that isn't the problem, it's just weird that they chose buttons for the hood instead of heavy snaps. Now I have to sew this button back on and I will strengthen the stitches on the other buttons as well because I am hoping this coat will last me for several more winters.

I love this coat. I was nervous ordering online but could not find quality plus size coats in my area. I was very happy I placed the order. The coat is very warm but not heavy. The coats great quality and I anticipate it will last for years to come. I love the pockets and that they aren’t small. They are nice and roomy if you have a big phone or just want to have your hands in them to stay warm. Oddly I noticed reviews that mentioned the coat being 10lbs. It definitely is NOT 10lbs. It is a great coat for Canadian winter weather. I got the 4x. I made sure to do a quick measure to ensure best fit. The sizing chart was easy to follow and true to size. I still have room to wear sweaters under the coat of need be. My only disappointment wasn’t with the coat itself but that Alpine North (the vendor) had a huge sale the week I bought my coat. Amazon doesn’t honour the price of the vendor even though they sold it directly from Alpine North. Over all the coat is definitely a quality product and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a good warm coat for winter.

I absolutely LOVE this coat. Shortly after I bought this we had -22° where I live, and this coat held up like a champ! No matter how cold it is outside I feel warm and comfortable. It became like a security blanket for me during the winter, and I get a lot of compliments on this coat! The only thing I will say, is that it is built for COLD weather, not chilly weather. If I'm wearing it inside for even two minutes (like if I put it on and then gather my things to leave) I get so hot 🔥. This is not a jacket you'd wear if you get chilly in like 60° or 70° weather, it's great for below freezing weather and maybe up to like 50° or so; but this is obviously my experience and based on my body temperature and ability to tolerate the cold. HIGHLY recommend this coat for snowy and freezing temperatures. Comfort and warmth is first when you're in these temperatures, but what I love about this coat is you don't compromise on style. 😀 PLUS you can feel good about wearing this coat because it is cruelty-free and made with recycled polyester and cotton!

Definitely happy I made this purchase. Very warm ! I sized up for a sweater or a scarf but have only worn a scarf a couple times, it is that warm. Even with the extra room, it still keeps me toasty warm. Good quality zipper and a decent amount of pockets just added to the value for the money.
