Rechargeable Infrared Thermometer Gun for Cooking, Laser Temperature Gun

I really like this infrared thermometer it’s got slick design nice feel easy to press button type C charging in my opinion makes it so much better because who wants to replace AAA’s 9 V batteries AAs. With this you could just charge it up and it’s good to go. This is good for many things like checking where he might be leaking out of your windows, checking the temperature of your oven, not so much for checking meat or something since it only does the surface temperature. I know this is robust since we use them in a commercial environment to check temperature. The battery last for a long time before you have to recharge it but so easy to do you just plug it Into a USB plug. The one I would say about this is you don’t get a carrying case. That would be so nice to have. it’s really easy to hold and use just press the button and when you want to read the temperature of something. I’ve seen infrared Thermometers that have the screen where you can see the different colors and temperatures but you don’t really need that. You just need to know the temperature, and you can figure out where heat is leaking, you can figure out where heat is leaking or if you’re AC is doing a good job. Don’t use this to check temperature on humans. it also is good to see how hot your car battery is getting. Or seeing where things might be too hot in your engine bay. This is rated to be able to detect up to 550°.

Feels high quality and responsive. Using my expensive kettle as a reference, it is accurate. The display has a lens effect and is easily readable and colorful. Lifting the black cover off slightly from the USB c port area, you can flip an internal switch to activate Celsius. I recommend this product.

This infrared thermometer is pretty good. Be aware that, despite what the item's title implies, the laser has nothing to do with detecting the temperature. The laser is just a pointer to help you aim the thermometer. And for that, it works well. I wanted to use this device to measure the temperature coming out of HVAC registers, and this thermometer is only so-so for this purpose. You have to get real close for it to be accurate. That's less than ideal, especially when HVAC registers are on ceilings.Another downside is that, due to the shape, you have to lay it flat, which takes up a fair amount of space. You can't prop it up on either end.That said, I'll be generous and give it 4 stars because it's fast, easy to hold, has a wide temperature range, and seems reasonably well-built. And unlike much of the junk sold on this site, this thermometer seems to actually work.

Excellent temp gun.rechargable, I use it for asphalt temps while paving and it fits perfect In a flashlight holster.

We use this thermometer at a non-profit food pantry that has strict guidelines on refrigeration and freezer temperature control that come from the USDA, NJDA, and local food bank . This laser gun performed flawlessly for over six months. We encountered a problem with the gun's screen. I contacted customer support and was asked to send them a video of the problem. The day after they received my video, I was notified that the unit would be replaced under warranty. Two days later a brand new thermometer arrived. I commend Lucy and her team for standing by their product. I would recommend this Inkbird laser thermometer to other pantries in our network.

Tested side by side with a fluke, and across all temperature ranges it was wildly inaccurate. Landfill e-waste.

I had a cake catastrophe a few days ago, so I dug out an ancient, traditional (analog) oven thermometer. It looked like my oven was off by more than 50 degrees F. But I know that the thermometer could be wrong, too. So I ordered two traditional thermometers plus the IR thermometer gun.I preheated an extra long time, which is apparently necessary vs. just waiting for the preheat beep which goes on too soon. (Just waiting for the beep is fine for things like casseroles but not for cakes.)The gun is super easy to use. And it confirmed that 2 of the 3 old-school thermometers were giving a correct reading.The laser thermometer was really inexpensive. I think I'll try it when making candy, too, to confirm what my candy thermometer tells me. I love that it doesn't use traditional batteries. It's USB/USB-C rechargeable, so no more batteries going to the landfill or battery acid leaking into the thermometer.The pictures show the disaster cake I made a few days ago and also the ones that turned out perfectly using the new thermometers. BTW, the pre-cut parchment circles are a huge help vs. tracing and cutting circles to fit in the pans. Got them on Amazon, too.

I received my thermometer 2 day's ago and my big problem is that I cant change From F to C and it is annoying...I im not happy...

Nice device but, whilst it says it measures centigrade and it's default setting is Fahrenheit; you can't change it to be centigrade on the display.

It's an ok thermometer but my issue with it is you can't switch between F and C , even though it clearly shows the option on the screen and packaging. Nothing in the instructions and no combination of pressing the button brings up CAs for contacting customer service don't bother, I contacted the UK rep 3 weeks later still no response.I've just contacted the main Inkbird support and just had my email rejected by the recipients email account!!!Feel I've been CONNED.

Same room. Same surface. If you take the temperature, it will show different readings (+ / - 5 degrees).You can use this to relatively compare two surfaces and see the degree difference. I used this to find out which room's floor or ceiling temperature is relatively cooler or warmer during afternoons. This helped me find that.But if you are looking for accuracy, do not buy this. As i said earlier, the thermometer will show different readings for the same surface after few minutes. Because after you go to some other room and measure some surface and come back to the previous room and measure the surface, it will show different reading.
