Great rig for surf fishing - Florida gulf coast
Caught a bunch of fish off the beach on the FL gulf coast. I had used bottom rigs with the same bait and had less luck than with this rig with floaters by the hooks. All held up well to some good size fish including a 3 foot hammerhead. I clipped the hook in half and let him go, so that was the only rig I lost. You can find similar at local bait shops for the same price but these are pretty solid. I'll buy more but only went through 1 because of the shark, so might not need them soon. Kids used the same and caught pompano and whiting left and right. Can't go wrong honestly.

Sturdy and reliable
I used these for a week fishing from the beach in the Gulf of Mexico and they held up great. I caught a couple of 30 lb. drum along with some large stingrays and they held strong. Not a single failure all week. The barbs on the hooks will rust out after a couple of days in the salt water but I believe that is intentional to protect the fish. It's really easy to swap out the hooks and keep on fishing.

Pretty good rig
Pretty good rig. The floats are "half" floats meaning a full float was cut in half to make the rig, not the best quality. The hook barb rusts pretty quickly and breaks off causing me to lose bait and fish. Even though I clean everything thoroughly with fresh water after fishing, I can only get 2 to 3 surf fishing outings out of a rig before I have to replace it.

Im all for saving money but after I bought these Pomp rigs, not gonna waste my time again.....gotta go see what else they have !

We caught fish
They worked great for a novice like myself. We were able to catch fish in the surf and not worry about trying to make our own rigs. Not sure if it was just luck or the little floats but we seemed to catch fewer catfish which is a good thing when surf fishing.
