Excellent Mower
An excellent mower which works best if you do not let your lawn become too tall which causes the variable power motor to consume more power and use more of the batteries charge. The batteries seem to loose some charge when allowed to sit, so be sure they have a full charge before you mow. The mower is very quiet so you can mow early without disturbing your neighbors. Greenworks stands behind their product as I had a problem with one of the batteries that came with my mower and they replaced it promptly once I notified them. Definitely a good mower to purchase.

Nobody is home!!
Guys, I am telling you that this is a decent mower but better get what use you can out of it before you need a new blade. Unless Greenworks contacts me to help, I will tell everyone to AVOID the mower. Searching for the EXACT # stamped on the blade AND in the manual brings up this blade, but the openings are wrong. https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-21-Inch-Replacement-Mower-29423/dp/B00PBYZE6K/ref=asc_df_B00PBYZE6K/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167148561991&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6339421958932909971&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008197&hvtargid=pla-497904705072&psc=1#customerReviews.You can see by the pictures that the blade has two hearts/arrows, so only a blade with those specific openings will work. The person looking for blade 333041179 received the wrong one. Did I call them? hahaa I sure did. First, their hours are a lie saying until 8 pm. It's only 5 pm. Secondly, I was on hold for nearly 2 hrs (I took a picture of my cellphone with time). Thirdly, I emailed them 9 days ago!!!!! Nine days. Yeah sure, Covid, I get it. But nine days warrants a response.

Quick view after a 3 month use
While I bought this around black Friday on special only late March the weather got warm enough for the grass to grow. So, far I am happy with the purchase but I am not sure if I would be so happy had a paid full price for it.The pros:I think the mower is light. It is not all plastic like the Ryobi but the weight is low enough that I do not feel it needs to be self propelled. It is not hard to push the light inclines of my yard.It starts fast and as many times as you feel like it. It is important, if you come from a gas powered mower that with these you do not need to be concerned you are going to have to pull the string many times or if it is warm you can flood it with gas, etc... It will start every time with no effort as many times as you want.It is easy to assemble (good since you get it from Amazon, not from a hardware store). It can be stored standing which saves space in my shed. Since in season the shed is quite empty I do not use this feature but I am sure it will come handy in winter when a lot of my patio furniture, umbrellas, etc. go into storageThe interchangeability of the batteries is a great thing. I am now with the third GreenWorks tool and they all work with the same batteries. And, unlike with the mower, the batteries have plenty of juice for the other equipment...The so-so:The cut is not as good as I am used to. I always sharp my blades and considering this is brand new I would expect more. Was I supposed to sharpen the blades on a brand new mower? This knocks off one star from the reviewBattery power. it comes with two 2.5Ah batteries. It is not enough for even a small yard. It feels to me if the grass is taller, wet or, anything that will require more power the batteries will go down faster. I also wonder about the effect of heat on them. I have read some of the other reviews talking about it but I have not faced any real hot day while mowing. I will update the review if needed. To complete, I have bought a 3rd battery and think everyone should count on it when buying this unit. I have also experienced what some other reviewers mentioned: if you try to charge the batteries when they are warm from use you will get the green light really quick w/o the battery being really charged. I guess they need to be cool to chargeOne advantage that I have not seen anyone mention is that, because it is so quick to start, I have found that I sometimes take it out and mow a small part of the yard (like the easement where the grass grows faster because of excess water) and put it back in less than 5 minutes. Overall I am satisfied with it

Great Fit For Small Yards
I'm not new to the electric mowers. My first corded mover lasted 10 years, insane right, nope. 10yrs or more is normal a life for a corded lawn mower . When my first 17" corded mower died. Because I was so impress with the reliability, longevity, lightweight, low noise and little to no maintenance of my first electric corded mower. I decided to buy a second corded electric mower. This time I upgraded to the Remington corded 19" mower and I love it. I brought it back in 2013, so it's 5 years old now. And got another good 5 or more years in her. But after 5 years with my second corded mower I grew tired and couldn't burden another summer with the extension cord. My extension cord has at least 4 splices in it where I ran it over with the lawn mower, cut it with the electric hedge trimmer so it's not in the best of shape. But it works. I decided to replace my corded lawn care tools with battery powered tools. After month of looking at all the different makers and voltage ranges I felt the best fit for my needs was the Greenworks 40 watt family. My first experience with Greenworks was the leaf blower, it came with 2x 2.0 Ah battery's and charger. I really enjoy being able to roam free without the limits of the cord. I currently own the leaf blower, pole saw, edger/trimmer, hedge trimer and now a 21" mower with 2x 2.5 ah battery's and charger. I live in a trailer park so I don't have a big yard. I would say .25-.50 of an acre. I can go all the way around my yard with the hedge trimmer, edger/trimmer and leaf blower all off one battery. I was really impressed with the performance of the battery, so after being on the fence of to buy or not to buy the battery mower. I went ahead and got the 21" mower and used it for the first time today and I must say that I was impressed with the cutting performance this mower it does a really good job. It is so quiet, it makes even less noise then my corded mower. I set my cutting level at 2, I was hoping to get the whole yard done off one battery. I have a little front, a little side and a little back yard to cut. I was almost done with the front yeard when the first 2.5 ah battery died. My second 2.5 ah battery died halfway thru the side of the house. It's a good thing I had the 2.0 ah battery cause I was able to finish the side and back of the house off the last battery. I'm disappointed that the two 2.5ah battery's that mower came with the mower was not enough capacity to cut my entire yard. Over all I am very pleased with this mower, I knew based on reviews I might need to have my 3rd battery ready. I give this mower A+ just FYI the mower increased and decreases power/ blade spin based on the thickness of the grass being cut. This mower is not for everybody. It's for the guy with a small yard, less then 1/2 acre. It took 2x 2.5 ah battery's plus 1x 2.0 ah battery to cut my year. The next item I going to purcchase will be an additional battery. this way I can cut my yard and have the battery capacity to run the leaf blower or other tools. I will never go back to corded.
