Orbit Ultralight 10-Pattern Turret Pistol Hose Spray Nozzle 58339

I really liked this nozzle. It's a lot more durable and well made than others that I've gotten in the past. Highly recommended!

This sprayer I have used before and the options are very good. The simple turn of the front cap changes the feature spray which is nice and the writing telling you what spray pattern is selected are really big. The bad thing is that the front cap and handle are made of plastic so if you just sprayed something and then just drop it you will break it over time. The price is not outrageous, but do take care of them and do not just drop them on concrete or on a paver. Also be careful with sand as sand can get in to the mechanics of the spray causing blockage and or damage to the internals.

This Orbit nozzle only fits some hoses. I tried it on 5 different hoses, four of which have brass couplings and one of which has some other metal. It popped off several times during my first use, and each time I thought I had put it on crooked or not tightened it properly. Once I was thoroughly soaked I gave up and watered without a nozzle. The next time I watered I tried using a few layers ofTeflon tape to make a better seating, but that didn't help at all.I had purchased three different nozzles from Amazon on the same day. I needed three of them for the house, but I didn't know what brand would be best. The Orbit nozzle *seems* very sturdy in comparison to the other two (Big Boss Xhose 8-Mode and Viking 8-Way. Those fit just fine on all five of my hoses, and they are much sturdier than expected. My hoses are all different brands, purchased a different times over the years. They also connect to each other just fine.)Today I was converting all my hoses to micro-irrigation by puncturing them with a nail and sticking little fittings into the holes. I temporarily used vise grips to clamp the end of one of the hoses. I thought the Orbit might have a tight enough hold to lie on the ground and spray water, even though I wasn't able to handle it while hand-watering. So I tried one more time, and noticed that its female end is simply too big for the hose--I couldn't even get it to bite the thread.But I still gave it ONE MORE CHANCE. I wasn't being kind to the poor thing. I just didn't want to go to Home Depot for one part to complete my retrofitting operation. The nozzle DOES make a connection with a brass male end of a quick-connect unit, which unit can then connect to the hose. This minor McGyver-ing enabled me to use its mister setting as the last emitter of the irrigation line.So, you take your chances with this one. If it fits your hose, it's nice because it has lots of good patterns. But don't count on the fit just because Orbit is in the irrigation business. They slipped on this one--literally. :)

This nozzle is very light weight easy to handle.

Really love this nozzle. It has a sturdy feel and it feels tightly aligned. I have other nozzles that shift on your hand causing the clip that locks the trigger to work incorrectly. The nozzle clip on this is flat at the top and fits the trigger perfectly. I have dropped this a number of times and it still works perfectly. There are no leaks.As my other nozzles die, I will be replacing them with this one.

I love this hose sprayer. I originally bought 3 of them from my local hardware store for all my yard hoses. Two broke after about two years of daily use. I was bereft as they were the best of their type as my local store had discontinued this item. I found them on Amazon and am happy again. So many nozzles and so many spray types!

Well worth the money. Bought 3 or 4 nozzles in the past from Canadian Tire and Home Depot, this nozzle is by far the best.
