Good welder with plenty of welding options
I'm a beginner welder and have been using this welder to learn to weld. I've had cheap welders, which they did do the job but not as good as welds as the Arccaptain 200. Great stick welder, probably the toughest for me to learn and love the mig, so yes good machine for a beginner. I've recouped my money on all my money that I put into welding just by doing the repairs on the ranch myself rather than wait a week or two for a welder to show up and even fabricated a couple needed tools that made life a bit easier.

Don't wait, just buy!!! Bada$$ machine
So this is my second ARCCAPTAIN welder. I had the 165 and that worked well for almost a year, until one of the capacitor blew up. I read all reviews before i buy anything, Look up forums and get more information about the welder. All reviews and everything was really good on this. I bought this one and had it in my service truck next day set up and actually welded a few repairs with it and it worked flawless ๐. I seen alot of bot reviews on this and I assure you I am not, nor did I get this welder for free and need to review it haha. Anyways, right out the box, you get everything you seen in the pictures and all the components are better made than the other 165 I got. Inside the machine they gave you a cute little light to see when changing the wire which is kinda clutch. I have my welder set to mig on 220v and with gas, which should be the way(flux is garbage ๐) I love the wire feed dial, the multiple functions are insane. All around, this is a great machine for home or work. Its not a Miller or Lincoln but holds up to them just fine and lays down some serious beads. If you see this welder, dont think just buy it and you wont regret it. I'm a mobile mechanic and I need a decent welding machine for alot of jobs and this thing gets it all done and more. Realistically the price is not terrible, just click cart and hit buy and you'll be more happier than a chubby kid in a chocolate factory ๐

Great entry level multi-process welder! Almost perfect
I have been really impressed with the ArcCaptain MIG200 multi-process welder. I bought this welder as an upgrade and replacement for my old Millermatic 140 welder. This ArcCaptain welder has so much more versatility, adjustment, and power compared to the old basic transformer MIG welder I'm coming from. The build quality is excellent, although it may not be as durable as a big name brand, but for DIY hobby use in the garage it will be more than tough enough. The welder comes with almost everything you need to MIG or stick weld out of the box. The only items you'll need to pick up are your MIG wire, shielding gas (unless you run flux-core wire), a gas regulator, or your stick welding electrodes. The welder comes with extra MIG consumables and uses standard tweco style contact tips readily available. 3 different styles of wire drive rolls are provided; V-groove for solid wire, knurled groove for flux wire, and U-groove for aluminum wire. Unfortunately ArcCaptain appears to have a packaging issue though because even with 7 drive rolls included in the kit none of them have a groove sized for running 0.035" (0.9mm) wire of any type. Hopefully they correct this issue in the future. This welder welds nicely and creates an easy to control weld bead. I'm a little rusty with my handwork so the inconsistencies in my test welds were the result of my own travel speed issues and not the welder. The Synergistic MIG functionality is really nice and provides a really good starting point for MIG weld settings. The one thing that ArcCaptain completely fails to mention in their user manual though is that when your in Synergistic mode you MUST set the AMPERAGE level appropriate for the material thickness being welded and then the machine will adjust the voltage and wire feed speed accordingly. For any beginner, just follow this rule of thumb and use 1 Amp for ever 0.001" of material thickness (ex. for welding 1/8" thick steel start with the welder set to 125A in synergistic mode and adjust the voltage from there if the weld is too hot/cold for your liking). My only minor complaints about the welder, aside from the missing 0.035" drive rolls, are that ArcCaptain didn't include a MIG setup chart sticker inside the door cover (which is standard practice on all MIG machines), and that the unit comes wired for 110V input and they provide a 110V to 220V adapter cable. I think this practice of passing 220V through a 110V plug is poor design and may even be a violation of certain electrical safety codes. The better design would've been to have a 220V cable wired to the unit and adapt down to a 110V plug when needed. Overall this ArcCaptain MIG200 welder is a great value for all of the functionality it provides. It provides many more advanced features typically reserved for welders 2-3X the price of this unit. ArcCaptains support team has also been very helpful and responsive to my emails and the customer support is excellent for an international company. I'd highly recommend this welder to anyone looking for an excellent value multi-process MIG welder.

Capable and versatile
I bought this 200-amp 6-in-1 ArcCaptain around 10 months ago, and I have been and continue to be very pleased with it. I bought it to replace a bottom-of-the-barrel multi-process unit, which was my first MIG machine; up to that time (25 years or so) I've welded only using stick or TIG. That little unit worked okay for basic MIG/flux core, but had some frustrations, including limited capacity and no way to see or set specific wire-feed and voltage - it only provided a "synergy" mode with an arbitrary +/- adjustment. Nonetheless, despite its limitations, that bottom-barrel convinced me that I did want to incorporate MIG into my welding capabilities. Thus, when I took on a major project for a friend (major for me, at least - completely refurbishing and adding onto a 4 x 8 trailer), I took advantage of the excuse to step up to the "next level," resulting in buying this ArcCaptain. I was specifically looking for a machine with decent capacity and the ability to switch to full-manual mode. I chose the ArcCaptain based on its described capabilities combined with some favorable YouTube reviews. Pros of this unit: * Welds very smoothly in MIG, flux-core, and SMAW, all on steel; I haven't tried it on TIG or spool gun. * Dual voltage - I mostly use it on 240V, but have needed to run it on 120V a few times, and it worked well (only tried on MIG thus far) * Easy to use interface, with clear readouts * Memory for up to 10 sets of settings * Ability to switch back and forth from "synergy" mode to full manual mode, allowing full control and fine-tuning of settings * "Spot weld" mode is surprisingly useful * Fan runs only on-demand; shuts off when it is not needed Cons of this unit: * The wire-feed setting is shown in meters/second rather than in inches/minute - the latter is the way I nearly always see it expressed, but that may be due to being in the USA. The conversion is not difficult - meters/second * 40 โ inches/minute. * The plastic strain-relief where the wire-feed gun plugs into the unit is a bit flimsy I have no affiliation with the company, and purchased the unit with my own money. Bottom line: I have been very, very satisfied with this welder, and would not hesitate to buy it again.

Great for the price
So far I've only just set it up With gas mig Got it running decently well And welded up a couple of pieces of steel for maybe 10 or 15 minutes. I'm an old welder a bit out of practice But I had this thing running pretty quick. And running on a 30 amp 110 off of a small generator Using .30 wire It ran surprisingly well. All the parts are surprisingly beefy Almost Nothing feels cheap. I have but one singular complaint. The power cable is the only thing That is cheap it is too thin of wire even running on a 30 amp 110 for just a few minutes that wire was Already getting pretty darn warm I can't imagine how hot that thing would get running on 220 for any Significant length of time. I intend to keep a close eye on this in the future. Considering I got mine on sale for 350$ I can deal with allowing it time to cool off

Impressive
First time welder, this machine makes it seem easy. I have nothing to compare this with but it serves my purposes. Great product.

This thing is pretty dang cool. Loving the spot weld setting.
I was worried about ordering this but it's working great and making my very happy that I did. I feel like it should have come with rollers for all the available settings, but I just ordered some 0.023 rollers separately. I've only used it on 240 volt so YMMV. I'm having a ball with mine.

A well put together unit that performs
I was looking for a inverter mig welder and at first went with a Bestarc 145, but that died completely within the first two weeks. Having returned that unit I started looking at something a bit more expensive, and that had a good warranty period. The reviews on the Mig 200 were all pretty much excellent, and the manufacturer offering a 2 year warranty (I also bought an additional 3 years through Asurion) helped seal the deal. I was impressed with unit immediately, both for its features and its solid construction. The user manual is actually quite well written with only a few translation gaffes, and is easy to follow to get you up to speed with Mig 200's operation. After spending a few hours doing practice welds, I got to work on building a welding cart for this and my plasma cutter. I have only used the MIG and Flux core so far, both performed flawlessly. Gun is very comfortable in the hand and 10 length on the cord is more than adequate. I am just a hobby welder and DIYer so this machine is perfect for me, but the range of settings and adjustments that you can play with, I am sure an experienced and professional welder would also be quite impressed with this, especially for the price.

I prefer quality over features, but this has both
Absolutely best in class. Be aware that it comes with welders socket NEMA 6-50R, better to buy compatible receptacle like below. https://www.amazon.in/Suplevel-NEMA-6-50R-Replacement-Listed/dp/B08T5LFYDF

Great little machine
Works better than I expected. Iโll be buying the plasma and tig next. You get more than what you pay for in my opinion. And for the price and the two year warranty I donโt think you can go wrong.

Edited to reflect experience
Received missing parts! And with broken parts stick holder shaped in half really what good is a mig welder with out a mig torch to weld with! Not very Impressed thinking I should have just stuck with a company with a proven history of quality products like Lincoln or Miller. Will see if seller can rectify the issues with out having to return the welder and then I can give a proper review of this welder but as it's stands it's pretty much useless with missing parts and broken parts! After contacting arccaptian they have said after I send pictures of broken parts and will send me the missing mig torch attachment! Will change the 1 star rating after I have received missing and damaged parts and get a chance to use the welder. Very happy with the customer service team as they were in contact with me very quickly and have resolved my issues
