My father-in-law was recently diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. He was prescribed several new medicines and had to take pills five times a day for a while. My mother-in-law was so worried about forgetting to give his medicine to him, so I ordered this alarm clock. It has really helped ease her worries and let her relax without constantly looking at the clock. We were only able to set four alarms with this device, but we had decided we could easily remember the ones he takes first thing in the morning so we set the alarms for the other four times (8:30am, 3pm, 8:30pm, and 11pm). The alarms were easy to set and went off as scheduled. It was loud enough that we could hear it if we were in the back of the apartment or if we had dozed off. The doctor recently made med changes and my father-in-law now only takes medicine twice a day. I was easily able to turn off two of the alarms that we no longer need. The only little issue we've come across is that on a few occasions, one of the alarms will go off four minutes late. For example, one evening, the #3 alarm started blinking at 8:30 pm, but the sound did not go off until 8:34pm. This has happened about five times over the past month. Those 4 minutes are not a big deal to us, but we cannot figure out why it does this. Even so, I would definitely recommend this product!

Very easy to program, excellent design! Bought for my 86 year old Mother who has been forgetting her pills and it works great, now she is taking her pills like clockwork.

The medcenter does a great job in reminding the pill taker. It is not too difficult to setup, and once set up, runs perfectly every day. The one improvement needed: the wording on the individual day plastic pill holders, has scratched off. So it can be confusing to someone elderly (or just not careful), and it can possibly result in someone accidentally taking the morning pills in the evening or vice versa.

This might be great if you happen to be standing next to it when the alarm goes off. It speaks clearly to tell you which pill to take. The problem is that it announces it for less than a minute and then shuts off even if you don’t press the red acknowledgement button. My 89 year old dad says it confuses him more than it helps. I wish I could return it, but I stupidly threw away the box .
