Runs perfect!
I put this on a 2002 Honda Recon 250. I didn't have to make any adjustments. It runs excellent and even idled perfectly. I used my old slide as I was just going to see if the carb was any good, I ended up leaving it in so I didn't have to switch the throttle cable.Only issue I had is the fuel inlet on the carb is 5/16 and the fuel line is about 3/16. I just used one of those small engine fuel filters that accommodates different size lines. The ones you can trim off the smaller sections if you don't need them. I then used a piece of 5/16 fuel line from the filter to the carb. Had to reroute the line a bit so the line didn't get kinked. Very easy install. I am 100% satisfied.I have a Zoom Zoom brand on a different atv. Although it does run, it doesn't run very well. So I was a bit worried about trying another aftermarket carb. When it arrived, I took off the float bowl just to see, and was surprised to see the quality of the parts inside the carb. Fit and finish were excellent. Machining looked excellent as well. This particular carb worked perfect for me. I am 100 % satisfied. Especially for $25 for the entire carb.

Works well
Have a 2008 Honda recon 250, didnโt start at all this carb worked perfect, itโs not as sturdy in some areas as a factory carb but works great!

Poor quality part
I wouldnโt suggest this particular carburetor. It looks great but you can tell the use inferior parts. The idol screw kept backing out after I would try to set it from vibration. Also I couldnโt never fine tune it enough to stay running. The throttle arm spring was so strong that it would pull my choke down. I sent it back and bought a rebuilt kit for my OEM and had no issues.

Works Great!
First, let me say that I am not a mechanic (although I impersonate one under a shade tree). I have replaced vehicle breaks and starters and so on but never played much with a carb. I am not against taking things apart and sometimes I even have parts left over :-)I ordered this carb because my 2012 Honda TRX250TE FourTrax Recon ES was running rough and I had some foreign material in it. I cleaned out the fuel tank and ran cleaner through, but it still had low speed idle issues. I guess I could have ordered a rebuild kit, however I have never done that before and the cost of this was not much more. This way I might have spare parts.I had watched a couple of Youtube videos and felt pretty confident as long as I noted which hose went where.I had a slight problem getting the hose attached to the side (I guess it is an air line) and the gas filter supplied was not the right size. Still a great deal.I had read some people having a leak and was fully prepared just in case, but no leak appeared. I was amazed that the ATV started right up and I have not made any adjustments at all and it just worked first time. I will admit to reusing the existing throttle by just unscrewing it from the old carb and screwing in on this one. I figured if it didn't work I could go with the new part. However I didn't need to do that.

Very nice
Perfect fit and replacement was very easy. Just watch how you take the old one off and put this one back on the same way. May need to watch a YouTube video on getting the throttle cable back in place but excellent carb and canโt beat it for the money.

Fuel line size did not pose a problem.
I bought this carburetor after trying two different rebuild kits and neither cured the dripping float valve. To replace the carb, I pulled three plastic pins from the rear of the left side panel. I removed the snorkel and two pins on the air cleaner box. I used long nose pliers to enlarge the end on Hondaโs fuel line. I did this first while I removed the original carb. The fuel line was sufficiently stretched where it slid onto the new carb with no need for a clamp. The machine started without choking and now runs great. I have cautioned my grandkids to shut off the gas and run the engine dry before storing. I am happy with this purchase.

Disappointed
I expected a like for like swap on my Honda TRX250.Fuel inlet is double size of original. Throttle cable doesn't fit correctly, throttle barrel is smaller than originalOverall quality isn't too bad, not set up and to be honest I got fed up messing about with it and put the original carb back on, mainly because I had stripped it and cleaned it whilst waiting for this.Luckily this wasn't too expensive otherwise I'd have sent back. Currently consigned to a box of junk in the corner of the garage

Decent replica but...
Replica makuni which worked on install but comes with a few issues . Replaced the original on a 2000 trx250 . Carbs are visuallt identical looking other than a few things. The two fuel lines were attached to spigots wrong and needed to be reversed. Refer to your original carb when swapping to ensure they properly routed the attached fuel lines NOTE* another buyer has also noted the same issue. The other issue is the secondary fuel line spigot is shorter than the stock carb. Refer to yellow circle on attached picture. There is no rib and spigot being shorter, it is very difficult to securely attach the fuel line with the lock wire. I see it as a definite flaw and It is a downfall to purchasing this carb that the spigot is too short. The included slide seemed ok but there is a snap clip inside holding the needle in place that popped easliy out and seemed a bit sketchy as it relies on the slide spring to hold it in place. Fortunately the original makuni slide fit perfect in this carb and the orginal cap screwed on perfect allowing me to just unscrew and switch slide cap and cable to this carb . Atv did fire right up after a couple revolutions of the starter. Purrs like a farking kittin.I Scored this off warehouse for 30 bucks. I Will rebuild the original makuni and swap back when ready tho. Hope this helps sum dudes out there

Does not fit
I wrote a complaint to the company and no response. The throttle cable threaded cap that goes on top of the carb is way too big and it did not come with a cable.
