very cool little practice amp........very easy to use i will never have to use my p.c. with it........i am a rockabilly guitarist and in just a few minutes of using my new amp and my classic vibe 60's custom telecaster i created my own preset that nails the Sun records sound from Carl Perkins to Luther Perkins.......a few little tweaks i can nail my idol Buddy Holly's sound.......this thing is fun and i only played it for about 30 minutes.........the built in tuner is very good........my favorite preset and the one i based my own preset on is ''little champ''........i have the Boss Katana gen 3 50 also and it will nail these sounds too but this little Fender is much easier to set up and use because of it's small size and ease of use..............this thing will get really loud to would be really great for practice with friends/band mates.........it would be really great for recording..... in the future i may buy the 50 watt version............

This amp is an excellent combination of sound, features, and convenience for the price. I don't have an emotional attachment to vintage gear and absolutely love having access to a wide variety of effects without the usual pedal board clutter. Actually, multi-effect pedals have come a long way, but for practice at home, I do prefer the convenience of just keeping this amp under my chair and out of the way. I have the 40-watt model, which is more than fine for practice and enough power for a coffee shop-sized venue. The clean sounds are, well, clean, and the distortion presets are passable, albeit a bit generic-sounding. The nice thing is that you can use them as-is or upload sounds that better suit your taste. The controls are super intuitive, and Fender support has always been good in my experience. On the whole, I'm pleased with the purchase and recommend the amp to others as a good option for at-home use.

Fender Mustang LT40S Desktop Guitar amplifier definitely turned my music into reality and I'm very appreciated that I have it. It has so many effects that help you to create a piece of music without any problem. It's functional and I'm very happy having it.

I don't use the distortion on this amp. It's quite "ratty" sounding, in my opinion. Given, I've used tube amps my entire life. NOTHING is better than a good tube amp. That being said, for ease of portability, and playing clean tones with chorus, echo, and reverb, the amp makes a very good practice amp. For you young players, learn to play without distortion and use minimal other effects. If you can make your guitar sound good without effects, then the effects will be what they're meant to be. Enhancements for various parts and tonality. Your playing will be better, accurate, and cleaner sounding. Learn to play the guitar not the effects. You'll be glad you did. Practice every single day at the same time. I'm an old guy, completely self taught. No one would give me lessons in my youth. They told me they'd sit down and jam anytime I wanted but they would NOT give me lessons. I'm not the world's greatest but I do love playing and have been for about 60 years. So far, I'm still able to play a bit. I've forgotten more than I remember... *** Updated *** Spoke with "Support". The amp was malfunctioning. The "Rep", Jeremiah, had me "Restore" the amp. It's working like a champ now. Thank you, Jeremiah. The amp is light as I need it to be and will meet my needs much better that the amp I've been using. I can actually carry this one with my back as it is. I truly appreciate the help!!!

Great amp and a good size for my setup at home. Sound is excellent and access to controls is convenient. Very happy with this amp.

Handsome, and has beautiful and inspiring presets that are easy to build upon with your own FX chain. Also, it's plug-and-play! No need to download drivers from their website or anything like that. The USB audio output and the local audio from the Fender Mustang LT40 are independent, so you could hear both or turn down the Mustang's volume to 0 and it wouldn't affect the quality over USB. It's quality and consistent sound over the USB too. I use it to play in my bedroom and record in Reaper over USB -- and it sounds great! Highly recommend! I also bought the Positive Grid Spark, and I like this one significantly more. The Fender Mustang LT40 gives better sound, especially over USB (the Positive Grid Spark is a little spotty with sound quality in the live audio).

I'm happy with how this amp sounds, considering it only has 4 inch speakers the low end response is impressive. The responsiveness feels much more natural than the other modeling amps I've tried. The models are good, the major drawback is the fx slots are limited and you can't change the order fx are in so you are stuck with things in a certain order so there's not much room for experimentation
