Q: Do these lights remember the settings like brightness when turned off and back on or do I have to reset the settings each time?

If you use the remote control to turn the light off and on it remembers the settings. If you remove the power and then plug it back in it forgets the settings. The default setting when you plug it in is 0% brightness 4300K.
