The kit came with all the tools necessary to install the new battery. Details on how to take apart your watch are too long to put on paper, so they direct you to U-Tube Videos. There are many U-tube Videos, and they are very helpful. It took me about 30-45 minutes to take apart my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch and replace the battery. My watch works great now. I saved over $300.00 in buying a new watch. Pay attention to the instructions in the kit about letting the watch drain the battery to almost zero and then recharging it to 100%. You need to do this 4-5 times to get the full capacity of the battery. I also submitted a question to Maxbear and they responded within one day. I would highly recommend this kit from Maxbear.

First time pulling my watch apart was scary enough, the plastic wedge triangles do absolutely nothing to help separate your back plate from the body of the watch, they bent and broke before I had to go to lowes and get a metal wedge pick wedge kit that I had to order separately. Other then that hang up the installation was easy. Battery life is now increasing better then factory when I first got my s3 frontier.

The Phillips screwdriver stripped out. Obviously not a hardened tip. Too bad. Returning kit and will get a separate GOOD ELECTRONICS tool set with many tools and a separate battery. I was very careful with this since fasteners are so small. I did NOT apply much force. The screw driver just did not cut it. The "Y" screwdriver DID work ok. That is why it is very disappointing. The tools to pry the back off of the watch was not good either. This kit is NOT recommended by me. Look for something else.

My son gifted me a new one about 5 years ago and it worked great until the battery was failing so I found this ad and bought a Gear 3 frontier, again. It is like new. No scratches, clean and shiny and it works great with my Samsung phone. Thank you.

I bought this item to help open up my watch to replace my battery in my samsung watch. I got as far as unscrewing the 4 screws on the back of the watch. With the tool provided I could not get the rubber backing off the back of the watch and stopped because the tool was doing damage to my watch. My advice is to take your watch to someone who does this for a living if you are not experienced in doing something like this.

I've gotten 2 1/2 days so far under normal use for me (always on) use. That's nearly double the life of the of the new S3 Frontier. I tore off the on-off flex cable between the on-off switch and the motherboard while trying to install the battery so I had to order a new one from Amazon ($8.65). Had a smartwatch repair place install the cable ($30). Still worth the hassel for me though...long battery life. Don't forget to cycle the battery to near empty 4 or 5 times to get the most longevity from the battery.

Installed battery everything was great for about a month. Then the battery wouldn't charge correctly and watch started jumping from screen to screen, freezing up with little to no battery life. Removed battery and installed old one. Now watch is working perfectly. Liked the battery life when working properly. Hope to try it again if they send me a new one??
