Perfect for an MRI
They worked great for my 2nd MRI. The Tech check and they do not have any metal in the product. Really reduced the sound level.

WORKS VERY WELL BUT NOT LABELED MRI-SAFE & SOME MRI PLACES GIVE YOU A HARD TIME BRINGING THEM IN
I have sensitive ears, good hearing, and have had about 10 MRIs (at a variety of places). 8 went well with no problems wearing the earplugs and earmuffs provided by MRI technician. 1 went horribly where I was only allowed to wear earplugs, and my ears hurt and ached for nearly a year afterwards. That was very upsetting. A few months ago, I went in a for an MRI, and the earmuffs that I was provided were only rated 13 NRR and didn't make a seal...so, in effect, they probably provided no additional protection over the provided earplugs. I had to stop the MRI a couple of minutes in as it was too loud, and my ears were hurting. I was pretty upset as the pain lasted about two weeks, and I had to wait to reschedule the MRI until my ears were fully healed. I bought these earmuffs to bring in with me for MRIs for when the provided earmuffs are not good enough. When I rescheduled the MRI, I asked in advance if I could bring in my own MRI-safe earmuffs and have them check them with the metal detector and magnet beforehand. They told me no. When I called other MRI places (at major highly reputable hospitals), they also told me no and that it was against policy to allow patients to bring in their own earmuffs. When I went in for my MRI, I brought them anyways just in case, and I explained what happened the previous time and showed them the bill that said these were MRI-safe. They luckily agreed and allowed me to wear them. They checked them with the metal detector, and they passed. Wearing good quality 3M earplugs and these earmuffs made it possible for me to complete the extremely loud MRI, and my ears did not hurt afterwards. I gave this product 4 stars because the earmuffs do not have the MRI safe stickers on them or any other writing to clearly indicate that they are safe for MRIs and do not contain metal. This really needs to be added. The bag to carry them should also indicate this. This would really help people get permission to wear the earmuffs in the MRI machine. I could also see someone mixing these up at home if they have other earmuffs. I looked online for MRI-safe stickers to add to remedy this problem and could not find any that were the correct size. From appearance only, you cannot tell that they do not contain magnetic metal. It would also be helpful if they indicated that they checked the product with a metal detector and/or magnet to ensure that the product is safe (to show that wherever it was manufactured didn't make any errors or mix it up with another product) since they could cause serious bodily harm and equipment damage if they did contain magnetic metal. Due to the move of many MRI places to only offering low quality earmuffs (13 NRR rated headsets where they talk to you or play music and are not made to protect your ears from the excruciatingly loud MRI noises) along with earplugs, having earmuffs like these are really critical if you have good hearing or have sensitive ears. The earmuffs do push firmly against the head, which I find necessary to form a good seal and is tolerable for the length of the MRI...but might be bothersome to some people who are very sensitive to firm pressure around their ears for even relatively short periods of time (regular MRI takes about 30 minutes). In addition, if you are doing an MRI where you have to wear a head coil or similar around the head, these likely would not fit inside. Overall, I highly recommend these earmuffs because the set I received worked well inside the MRI machine, and I would not have been able to complete the MRI with the 13NRR earmuffs provided with the 3M earplugs. (They looked well constructed unlike some of the reviews I read. I could not find pictures of the inside of the earmuffs when I was looking to purchase them, so I have added some here.) However, I hope that the company reads this and adds the MRI-safe labeling to bring future productions of this product to 5 stars.

Deceptive Marketing for MRI Incompatible product
This item turned out to be worthless for an MRI. First, there is no description on the product or packaging that identify this as MRI safe. Second, I brought it to the MRI and like many others stated I wasnโt able to use it as it was incompatible with the MRI machine. Lastly, Amazon would not refund me.

little disappointed
It seems that I only received 1 set of ear plugs, which kinda sucks, considering I was supposed to receive 2 sets of ear plugs. Not horrible, but it would be nice if someone would have checked the packaging.
