GARMONT TACTICAL T8 Athena LE Women's Duty Boots

Boots are well made, double stitching, big beefy pull straps and just a great heft to them. Not heavy, but these just feel well made. Put them on, laced them up and they felt like boots that had been broken in for six months. Very comfortable, precisely to size (12W) and ready to work. AND...the price was right! Very happy thus far.

Do not regret buying this pair of boots. They’re comfortable and don’t have a break in period. I’ve had them for 4 months now and I’ve been in the field for 1 of those months. No damage or excessive wear from being in the field.

I’ve been wearing a pair of these since 2007. 19 years later I finally had to buy a second pair. The first pair survived my grunt adventures in Iraq, job sites and more years after. These boots are the GOAT. I’ve been out since 2009, so no clue on current AR 670-1 regs, but if they’re approved. Buy them if you actually spend time in the field, or stay active when wearing them.

I was worried about buying a boot I had never tried on, I ordered the 9.5W and they are true to size for me. Break in wasn't bad, they are comfortable and light. Update almost a year later. They are starting to get a hole worn in them on the inside of the left toe box area. I will follow up with what Amazon and Garmont says. Unfortunately I was outside of the warranty window of 1 year. However I still wear them when I am not in uniform and need boots. They held up great on a 9 mile hike around glacier national park in Montana.

Got the Garmont NFS for the field/rucking and had great success with them, so I bought this boot for walking around a hardened TACSITE in summertime, climbing on equipment, and kicking chockblocks. Works for all those things. Aren't worn down much after a summer and winter of work. As other reviews have mentioned, the grommets at the ankle dig in if you tighten the boot, and you can alleviate it a little bit by keeping the laces around there loose (or not threading the lace through those grommets, but that looks disgusting). So I wouldn't recommend these for rucking. It stops digging somewhat after you wear them for a bit but is still there. Not a fan of this model's aesthetic after a closer look; won't be replacing them with the same model but will likely get another model from Garmont. I get the same size in Garmonts as I do running shoes. I also replace the Garmont flat laces with paracord laces and they work much better.

I have baby soft feet and my toes blister up very easily. I’m an adventure racer, and I put in 350-400 miles a year training and competing with a 45# pack. I haven’t had a single blister on any toe to date with roughly 300 miles in these boots. The heel cup doesn’t quite come high enough to be perfect for my feet so I get a tiny bit of heel slip, but pre-taping my heels is quick, easy, and effective. Much better than taping up the six toes that used to give me trouble. The sole stiffness is a nice compromise between stiff enough to protect the soles of my feet from pointy rocks and having good ground feel in rugged terrain. Grip is great. They seem to breathe well. If I could change two things about these boots to make them perfect for me it would be increasing the height of the heel cup and reducing the heel drop to (preferably) zero. I’ve tried dozens and dozens of boots and trail runners over the last 9 years , and for what I do, these are the best solution I’ve found.

The Garmont T8 Bifida Tactical Military Boots in Coyote Brown is very well made in every way. I could tell that there was a lot of attention to detail applied on these boots. Everything about it is top quality. The only reason I returned it is because I still found their size US12 Wide slightly a bit tight on my feet. The boots are True to Size. How I wish Garmont made an Extra Wide version for this one. Also, the seller sent the item on time as well as returned my payment on time. Overall I'm giving this one: 5 stars!

My go to boots, all day and everyday for years now. just make sure to order the wide version and one size up as these are narrow boots. You will have heel blisters so make sure to add a rubber or silicon sheet backing.

Fits like a glove nice and light but with support at the same time , most expensive boots ive ever bought but i walk a lot of miles and these are more comfortabel than my worn in boots already .
