impressively feature-packed for a door hinge
I will update these once installed, but out of the package I can confirm these are indeed damped (I was skeptical with the brief mention of "soft close") with a few features you don't normally get from spring hinges.+ Adjustable spring tension works like any other spring hinge - I don't see poor instructions as a real hindrance here (use the supplied bar to crank around, pre-tensioning the spring to as much closing force as you need, and place the stop nail)+ There is indeed what seems like some kind of viscous damping, slowing the close rate even just here in my hand.+ there is a ball catch to hold the door at 90ยบ clever.+ Looks like 2 bearing races per hinge if I'm seeing that right- Mine were just a little scratched up out of the package (I don't really care - I will be attempting to make them look older to match the other vintage hardware I have anyway)Seems like these should do wonders for my poor wind-slammed balcony door, keeping it either closed or open as needed. One could wish for adjustable damping, but considering you'd normally have to add a separate closer to get damping at all, I certainly wouldn't complain. This route should save a fair bit of both money and installation time compared to a conventional combo of stainless bearing hinge and closer .... here's hoping it works

From the directions: Be a good hinge. Trench location.
Don't worry, you can figure them out without the directions, the directions just provide comic relief. The hinges appear well made. It's quite difficult to set the springs to enough tension to move a really heavy outside door, but it's possible - just be aware the you're working with a tiny rod and a tinier pin under very high pressure, so it's likely to hit your fingers very hard or fling a part you need across the room or into a parallel dimension. Get 2 people, and have one watch flying parts to see where they land.

The quality is lacking in materials
The hinge set adjust tensioner spring was not working properly In one of three hinges. The screws for hinges were cheaply made, quality lacking and broke off often. Used other longer heavy screws that I bought.

Nice product, Unintelligible instructions
The hinge appears well made and most definitely is 'heavy duty'... I hope to be able to get them working. As with many products which come from China, the instructions look like they were written from a google translation. The instructions make absolutely no sense, in English at least:1. Be a good hinge Trench location2. The power thransfer rod insedion force rear ture shift to the left. Remove the pressure pin.3 Wil be dung to place slots loaded hinge screws.4. Close the door.5. Will be transferred into the mobilization of power rod roar, and the left movement, the rootDoors, according to the weight adjustment pressure, and then plug in the pin.Have been trying to figure it out but no luck yet. If I can get the hinges working I will revise my ratings, but for now they aren't very useful.Perhaps if they had a video or native English speaker write the instructions?

Bad quality
I ordered these before for another gate and they were amazing. I hired a welder to put these on my front gate and they are not the same quality as what I ordered before. Now I have to find another set of hinges and pay to have them re-installed. I will be filing a claim against this chsrge.
