AIRFLO Trout Polyleader 5ft

Makes a difference for a tight liner.
All I do is high stick / tight line / euro / whatever you wanna call it, nymph fish. I’ve never cared about getting a sinking fly line because the only time my line would hit the water is when a trout would take it. Than I got reading and came across this stuff. It’s made super thin and light with no taper. It’s just straight. It doesn’t sag, and it is more responsive to fish strikes and hook sets. More sensitive you could say. Well everything I read is true. I love this line and will never even think about using any other fly line again. It feels different than your cookie cutter weight forward line, but you get used to it fast. I am able to set the hook faster, and I know there were a few trout I would of missed, or not even noticed the strike, with my old line. If you are a tight liner, I absolutely recommend this specialty line, and you won’t be sorry. If you like a line that casts dries in a pinch, you won’t be happy; It’s strictly for nymphing. If you are new to nymphing, you may not appreciate the qualities of this line. Also, I’ve read the Airflo is better quality than the Rio counterpart.

If you Euro Nymph you must have it
As most of you know, you do not need a Fly Line for Euro Nymph. You can use a very long leader attached to the backing. This line does what the long leader does but it is much easier to handle than mono especially under windy conditions. I used this line attached to the backing, then I used an 1.5 feet bi color indicator attached to the line followed by a RIO 2mm micro ring and tied to the ring I have added 5 to 6 feet of 4X Fluorocarbon Tippet. I just started Euro Nymph a month ago in Patagonia using the above described arrangement and I had the best fishing season of my life. I may never use streamers again....
