Saved my dog from getting mauled by a bear. I was able to get him to stop chasing a bear.
I've done leash training, so my dog knows the commands (stop, come, heal) when we are hiking or biking. But when he is off leash he will ignore the stop and come commands when there is something interesting. And he'll take off chasing a squirrel, or in this case a bear we ran into while on the bike. The bear took off when she saw us, but my dog decided to chase her. I was able to get my dog to stop and come back using the training collar. Otherwise he would have likely caught up w/ the bear and would have been likely killed (she had a cub in tow). So now I am able to go out w/ my dog and be confident I won't have issues w/ other people of other animals. The instructions are straight forward, the collar, transmitter and hands free units all work well.

Unpredictable! Poor quality.
I was really hopeful about this Arch unit but just like my original dogtra it seems to only work when it wants to which could be very dangerous. I tested it out on my hand several times and could never get a consistent zap. I mostly get a tiny buzz and the periodically a large zap. I have a little dog and can’t chance the large random zaps. I also can’t chance him going after another dog or human and the unit not working. In my old unit I had the same problem so mostly used the pager. But the pager doesn’t always affect him, and least not when we have been in threatening situations (him barking and trying to go after large unleashed dogs while hiking...very scary albeit he starts the trouble- major small dog syndrome). Still the pager does help correct in other cases so I went on to purchase this Arch unit based on its slim profile, but somehow it seems be bulkier on my dog, or rather heavier, taking up more room on his neck. I also notice that the pager on this arch unit is much lighter than the original unit. Leaving this Arch unit pretty much useless to me. Another thing to note is that it said Prime when I ordered it, but took a week (at least) to be delivered. I would have ordered factory direct if that were the case. I ended up returning this unit, which I can say was easy and the seller was fairly responsive. Having spent so much for such poor quality, I plan to look at the less expensive pager units they have out there for under $50 to see how they stand up.

Just what I needed to have control of my dog ...
Just what I needed to have control of my dog without a leash. Doesn't take much and now a very well behaved dog !! Just wearing the collar after a few initial ticks she responds very well. Thank you.

Love the low profile collar but handheld controller needs work
So after having used this awhile, I love the low profile collar that makes it not stand out so much on my dog's neck. I use it mostly for training off leash recall and also hiking with my rescued husky who sometimes has too much sass and independence (husky owners will know).Product works great for me, unfortunately I lost the hands free remote within a couple of days, so I use the handheld. The handheld needs some work, specifically, the knob to control the levels of intensity, within the dynamic movements of anybody, the setting could easily be shifted, and while anybody should check the setting before pressing the button, sometimes time may be of the essence. The controller seriously should have like a click knob or a push or pull lock setting to keep the setting in place for the safety of the dog.
