Great quality - I ordered this foam piece as a replacement for cushions that my dog chewed up as a puppy. Now, that same puppy is a 3 year old beagle, and it quickly became his favorite napping spot! The foam is super firm - ideal for extending the value of my investment. Because I am lazy, making a sofa “bench,” the project was easier, added stability and functionality (and few opportunities for chewing). Though I would have preferred double thickness, I simply ordered another foam piece and it gave me the thickness I desired. My dog and I are happy couch potatoes!

When we bought our sectional couch we liked the look and didn't spend much time sitting in it. After using it for a while we hated the overly soft cushions and felt like we were sinking in them. We started shopping for a replacement because it was too poofy. Luckily, the cushions have zippers so we were able to remove the foam and Dacron liner. The Dacron came off easily and we replaced the foam with this solid version. It was easy to cut with a bread knife, we used spray glue to put the Dacron liner around the foam and now our couch is solid and comfortable. We have recommended this foam to our friends who also replaced their poofy cushions.

I like the foam, it takes 9 days to get it.

we bought new couch cushions from amazon 6" deep was their thickest. our old cushions were 7" but they only came in 6". This worked great but felt a little too low. so we bought a roll of similar foam 80"x24"x3" to go under the cushions. It keeps its structure and did the trick making the seating feel a little firmer and higher. 4" would have also worked. The new couch cushions (24x26x6") with the addition of the extra 3-4" foam roll under them saved us from needing to buy a new couch for a while longer. we spent about $170. total and the couch feels like new. I gave it 4 stars because the rolled up foam was not wrapped plastic just shoved in the box and it came a week later than stated, coming after the holidays when we needed it for company. the couch was a little low but at least the cushions we ordered came on time and they were comfy, replacing the old cushions with springs popping. I am going to buy another roll of foam for our hard futon in our basement that will make it more comfy to sit on for a while longer extending the life of that sitting area until we buy new.

My sofa bottom cushions were sinking when sitting on my sofa, giving no support. It was time to swap out the cushions. It was fairly easy to cut the foam to fit the size of my existing cushions using a serrated bread knife. This is high quality foam. It's very firm and should last a long time. The hardest part was stuffing the foam into the leather covers but it was well worth the effort.

Strong chemical smell even after airing the unwrapped foam outside for several days. Hard to believe this is really Certi-pur foam which is supposed to be free of formaldehyde and other toxins. Even when I later covered the foam with fabric the chemical odor still came thru and remained on my clothing after sitting on it for awhile. I did order Cert-Pur foam from a different company on Amazon and there was no smell whatsoever so either this isn’t really Cert-Pur foam or something happened at the factory where it was made. It’s really too bad as other than the chemical smell the foam is of good quality and firm density.

Okay, I'm disappointed but not in the foam. The cushions in my Grand Design's booth were not firm enough for us and we are not big people (175 & 120). We were hoping this would be firmer but I think it's the exact foam rating as we already have :-( This was the firmest we could find and regretfully not an improvement. If you have weaker foam or yours are worn out then go for it.
