Durable and Fun Trainer
I bought this A560 trainer to learn. First time pilot here. I ended up buying this kit without the controller because I wanted the AT10ii transmitter. This way I can easily switch between different aircraft as I grow into this hobby. First time assembly was a breeze. In order to work with the AT10ii though, you must upgrade the receiver. I bought the R9DS receiver and PRM-01 telemetry module so I could get battery life alerts. Everything is basically plug n play with a little research and reading all the manuals. See my pics to see how I mounted everything. So far I have several hours flight time now. It's amazing how much confidence you gain from the flight controller. I programmed the AT10ii to match the stock controller switches so changing modes is fairly easy. The AT10ii even displays what mode you're in. I normally takeoff in beginner mode, do a few passes, then switch to more advanced modes to practice different tricks and landing.Despite what other reviews say, this thing is TOUGH! I am a total beginner. So I crash, a lot. I have full-throttle dive-bombed the runway, a fence, a boulder, the runway, the runway again, and a bush. Each time I crash, I fully expect this plane to be beyond repair, but a little hot glue or some of the reinforced packing tape (comes in the kit) and your up and flying in no time. Its way more abuse than a delicate balsa kit is capable of sustaining (I just built a Dumas Waco YMF-3 and there is absolutely no way it could fly after a crash without serious surgery). I have broken the A560 wings, ailerons, fuselage multiple times, and 3 propellers. After a quick repair, it still keeps on going! I know by the end of summer it'll be mostly hotglue and tape but that's the whole point of a trainer.. learn the hard way and don't trash a much more expensive plane trying to learn. The motor has taken several direct hits and it's incredible how tough it is.Needless to say, I really enjoy flying this plane. The YouTube videos dont oversell how much fun it is to do all sorts of tricks. I never thought I'd get so into this hobby, but it's so much fun! Obviously, I have a long ways to go in learning to fly, but I just had to write this review because the toughness is really incredible.I would recommend extra batteries (one of my worst impacts caused a LiPo to puff up) and extra propellers and O rings. Trust me. You'll need them if you're new to the hobby. It's worthwhile to calibrate it too (see instructions) otherwise you'll be trimming like crazy and switching modes does funky stuff without a proper calibration. One other thing: if the plane does a weird wobbly dance in the wind, you need to adjust the linkage on the aileron servo by moving the connection point to the furthest inside hole (there's a YouTube video on it) .. 100 percent resolved. You lose a little bit of travel angle of the aileron, but its still very nimble.

So much fun!!
I am new to RC flying and this is a great trainer plane. It took a few mistakes but I got it up and flying and it really is so much fun and easy to fly.1. Follow directions- go to YouTube2. Calibrate the wings first, super important especially if you don’t understand how things fly!3. Large open space with little wind is recommended.4. Start with the beginner mode and work your way up.5. Order some extra parts… you’ll need them!!

Great rc plain for the money.
Easy to assemble, perfect backyard or small park flyer. Good run times, The reason it didn't get 5 stars is the factory setup is extremely difficult so you need to use the app to adjust the controller and servos. Make sure you understand the different modes. After I made the adjustments this thing is a blast to fly. Definitely helps to watch as many YouTube videos as you can about this airplane.

Check the aileron connectors at the servo
The Rant* You will not be doing any takeoffs or touch-and-goes on grass with those itty-bitty wheels.* I think the tx could use some Expo on Throttle and Elevator, but I have yet to find instructions on use of the Android app to achieve that.* The cutouts in the case are too snug a fit for repeatedly removing/inserting the wing and fuselage. Figure on a careful hour or two with a boxcutter blade to relieve them to where parts can be removed/inserted like they should be.* The tx's audible low-battery alert isn't so audible - making it pretty much useless against outdoor background noise. In my living room, with throttle @50%, I get a little over 8 minutes of run time before the low-voltage alarm sounds - so use a timer to avoid battery damage out in the real world.* The servo's control horn is a little over 2mm thick, but the connectors when snapped closed have only 1.75mm of room. To accomodate that diff, somebody in the assembly process carved down the horn to fit. But, on mine, one of the horns was not carved far enough back so that the excess thickness pried the connector open on extreme airleron movements. Rotate the servo all the way both ways and check before you fly.The Praise:* Last time I weighed it, AUW was 192.7 grams - so this plane is exempt from the new FAA radio locator requirement.* I have crashed this thing hard and often enough to opine that it is reasonably crash-tolerant - certainly an order of magnitude more crash-tolerant than my dearly-departed Aero Scout or my DIY Big Slow Delta. EPP is the way to go for noobs and those of us who specialize in lawn-dart landings.* The Vertical mode is actually useful. When I lose orientation or things get otherwise weird and I need a few seconds to get it together; a quick press of the left rocker switch brings things to a halt as the plane stops and just hangs there. Flip said switch the other way, and it's back to business.* I have hopelessly destroyed two previous planes that were touted as "ideal beginner's planes". Things were getting expensive so I backed off and bought a couple of el-cheapo (<$40) two-channel EPP children's toys and crashed them on my front lawn daily for a month or so. Then I saw a review of the A560 and figured "What the hell, it's only money". Dunno whether it's the A560, my 2-channel stick time, or a combination - but I flew the A560 right out of the box.Bottom Line: In spite of my nit picking, I give this plane the full five stars.

Don’t pass this up
If you are a RC enthusiast like me of all kinds and you enjoy flying aircraft. This is for you. This is the most unique plane I have come across it is truly amazing. What radiolink has done with this I would consider this a beginner to intermediate plane, but the experience flyer will certainly appreciate this plane and what it is capable of, and there is no other plane that can do with this plane can do. It is a joy to fly, and it even helps intermediate flyers like me who are slowly getting off of the safe mode’s the gyroscope on this plane is awesome tricks they can do is awesome. This plane is a must in your collection. It happens to be the most durable plan I own. It’s a blast you don’t have to worry about it. Busting up on you and you can push it to the limit to not have to worry about it. Seriously if you’re thinking about it, stop looking and buy it.
