I had a bit of a break from coffee masters, not because of quality as I love their coffee. So this caffeine kick bag popped up as I used to drink the signature blend which was a very nice drink with subtle flavours. This is more of a functional set of jump leads coffee so not for anyone sensitive to caffeine. Tbh I quite like the taste. I just do a fairly coarse grind, and one and a half scoops into my aeropress with a metal filter, hot water and a 1min brew, then press it out. It did crème up nicely when I added the water but that is lost with the Aeropress once the water is pushed through the grinds and filter. I take my coffee black with no sugar and this is a proper dark black coffee. I've finished my first mug about 5 minutes ago and I can still taste it. I was buzzing after the second gulp! So in summary if you like a dark strong coffee with a kick , in bean form with 1kg coming in at <£15 then give this a go.

This is a Robusta bean coffee - much better caffeine kick for the morning coffee. I fell in love with Robusta beans when living in France, but most coffee sellers prefer the Arabica bean, so a good Robusta is hard to source. This one ticks all the boxes: clear cacao caramel tinged aroma, easy to grind and brew, strong caffeine content but not too much, mellows and sweetens beautifully when combined with frothy milk or oat m*lk. If you like strong coffee but also want flavour, this one's worth a try.

Was really good

This is a good strong coffee bean . I can smell the coffee as I open my cupboards. Grinds well from coarse to fine. Taste is amazing , really strong and flavourful and use it as my espresso base for many other drinks hot and cold as well as just on its own depending on how I brew it. Used it in phin, cold brew, drip, pour over and espresso machine. This bean is versatile compared to arabica and suits my purposes.

I bought this a while back so not sure if the potency has reduced whilst its been in its packaging. I am not a great coffee lover so really brought them for guests. do not seem to be noticeably better coffee, although they do make a nice smooth cup of coffee not as bitter as others.

Bit too strong for my husbands taste but if you like strong coffee perfect for you.

There was a little stone or something that clearly wasn't a coffee bean in this and it's just written off my sage grinder. Gave a 1 start review initially, customer service got in touch and refunded and offered a free bag of coffee and to have a call to fix my grinder. I found that a bit strange as I had already told them Sage had offered to exchange under warranty and I'm not really sure what a phone call is going to do to fix a broken motor. It is a risk when buying beans I have been told. Had sage not offered an exchange then that's a bigger problem that didn't arise here as a £15 bag of coffee would have cost me £200. I like their coffee and have reviewed it well in the past, they have kept their prices sensible whilst others haven't. Maybe just unfortanate but it is still an issue so perhaps 2 stars is just for this particular bag and the QC. Is what it is.

This giffe tastes pretty good and gives off a very nice smell. It is roasted well and fresh to the date the product is dispatched. I would not class it as a strong taste but fits well with the roast. Good value for money for 1kg bag.
