When having my new kitchen installed (including all new electrics,) the installer put the appliance plug sockets in the cupboard next to them - with no isolator switches above counter (to give a more streamlined look.)This was fine with me, as I’d planned not to turn the appliance’s off by the switches most of the time. However this became unexpectedly problematic for me for 2 reasons:1 - although I don’t have kids of my own, when my nieces and nephews come round, it was frustrating to have to move things out of the way in the cupboard to be able to turn the switches off so they couldn’t mess with it.2 - I like to leave my appliances doors open so they don’t smell, and the tumble dryers light would not go off when turned on at the wallTherefore enter these smart plugs!I read the other reviews first, so knew the trouble that some people had setting these up with the wifi routers. I followed the advice of another reviewer - to log into the router and turn off the appropriate setting. (I’m not a wifi technology person and can’t recall the appropriate terms without looking! 😅)Once set up via the app, it was easy to link to my Alexa system, and not I completely control them via Alexa.‘Alexa turn on/off the washing machine/tumble dryer/dishwasher’They’re easy to name for the appliances to!Overall, I would recommend these smart plugs for a reasonable price in comparison to others available.

Good plugs, easy to setup and use.App is simple to operate and works well with good Google integration.I bought when on special discounted price, but amazon prices seem to fluctuate a lot...so need to watch and buy when cheap

This item comes with two WiFi plugs, Unfortunately the instructions that come with them bear not relation to their function. They are not recognised by their own Woox app software and will not connect to the WiFi network. I do hope that someone from the seller reads this and can tell me hoe to connect them so I don't have to go through the hassle of returning them

Not my first Woox plug and I have to say when they are working they are great. However, they are fiddly to install but if you keep trying you will get there in the end and it is worth it

This is my second time of buying this make...I first bought a couple of these last year when my old ones (a different make) stopped working...I downloaded the app & set them up, very easily...I really liked the app and how simple it was to use,that I actually searched Google to find some more of the same make, finding them at an even better price this time on Amazon....

Not always the cheapest but solid and reliable for us, with a handy app which configures them. We bought two and now have ten around the house, working from Alexa and the Woox app.

I'm unable to give a verdict on this as I hadn't realised that it will not work with my 5G router

Like others I had big problems with setting up. Then I realised what I could do. The instructions suggest you rename the 2.4GHz output from your router. I have about 18 devices connected and I wasn't going reset them all. Then I realised all I needed to do was to log in to the router and temporarily switch off the 5 Ghz signal. You can Google how to login to your router and the admin password is usually on it somewhere. Then choose the plug on the woox app and follow the process once it's connected check it works then log into the router and switch 5 Ghz back on. I now have 4 of these plugs and so far they a great.

Heute geliefert und gleich installiert. Ich hab es relativ einfach hinbekommen, da ich schon das halbe Haus damit voll habe. Hier haben einige den Anlernvorgang beschrieben, aber nicht vollständig.Woox App aus dem Google Playstore herunter laden und installieren.App öffnen und im Eingabefeld die eigene Mailadresse eintragen und abschickenIn der App geht ein Fenster auf in dem ein Code eingetragen werden muss.Ein Passwortmuss erstellt werden.Dieser wird sofort per Mail zugeschickt. Eintragen und weiter.Netzwerk wird gesucht und das 2.4 Wlannetz erkannt.Das WLAN Passwort eintragen. Ich habe 2,4 und 5 WLAN laufen gehabt und musste das 5er nicht abschalten.Jetzt den Stecker in die Dose stecken und die LED sollte schnell blau blinken. Falls nicht, einfach 5 Sekunden den Knopf am Stecker drücken bis die LED schnell blinkt. In der App neues Geräte suchen lassen, den Stecker dazu in einem Menü aussuchen. Ich habe den ganz rechten mit EU genommen.Nachdem er gefunden war muss der Stecker benannt werden.Ich habe die Steckdosen durchnummeriert.... kleiner Tip... mit einem Edding schreibe ich die Nummern unten zwischen die beiden Kontakte damit ich sie immer identifizieren kann.So.... und das hab ich hier nicht gelesen.... Man muss in der Alexa-App unter Skills den Woox Skill suchen und aktivieren.Nun in der Alexa App unter Stecker Firma Sonstige auswählen und suchen lassen. Wird sofort gefunden.Dann kann man den Geräten einprägsame Namen gegeben werden, vorher ggf. noch einem Raum zuordnen.Das wars. Die Stecker machen einen wertigen Eindruck und die LED ist auch nicht zu hell. KAUFEMPFEHLUNGWem meine Beschreibung geholfen hat möge mal ein "NÜTZLICH" HIER LASSEN :-)

Die Smart-Steckdosenschalter arbeiten auch mit der Smart-Life-App für TUYA-Produkte. Die gesonderte, von WOOX empfohlene App muss nicht verwendet werden.Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen: Der Produkttreiber des Schalters bildet in der Smart-Life-Übersicht keine Statusansicht ab. Man muss den Treiber öffnen, um den Schaltzustand zu sehen und umzuschalten.Andere Produkthersteller haben das für ihre Treiber eleganter gelöst.

Als neuer "Alexa" Nutzer habe ich mir Aufgrund der Bewertungen hier 4 dieser Woox Steckdosen gekauft.Bei anderen WLAN Steckdosen wurde erwähnt, dass eine Registrierung beim Hersteller notwendig ist, deswegen kamen sie für mich auch nicht in Betracht. Hier wird nur von einer App gesprochen, die zum Einrichten notwendig sei.Nachdem ich jetzt mit meinem Echo Dot und Alexa vertraut bin, wollte ich die Steckdosen in Betrieb nehmen.Doch nach dem Lesen der Bedienungsanleitung und den Stöbern hier in den Bewertungen, wurde mir klar, dass die Steckdosen nicht das sind, was ich mir vorgestellt habe.Ein Woox Konto ist ZWINGEND notwendig. Woox erfragt nicht nur zwingend die WLAN Steckdosen um sie dem Konto hinzuzufügen, sondern auch private Daten, ihren Standort und ihr WLAN Passwort. Das alles wird nicht in der Handy App gespeichert, sondern auf externen Servern.Fällt der Server aus, funktioniert auch das Alexa Kommando nicht mehr, da dieses Alexa Sprachbefehle über den Server laufen.Der geringe Preis trügt, es mit dem aufgeben seines Datenschutzes bezahlt.

Diese smarten Gesellen und ebenfalls ähnliche Geräte eines anderen Herstellers haben ein erstaunliches Phänomen. Die Installation mit der zugehörigen App funktioniert nicht. Dutzende erfolglose Versuche über WLAN + Bluetooth. Kein Erfolg. Im Router die 5 GHz ausgeschaltet. Nur noch 2,4 an .. Kein Erfolg. Aus Verzweiflung die GOSUND APP aufgerufen und es da versucht. Erkennung, Verbindung und Alexa im ersten Versuch!!!! Wer hätte das gedacht? Alle Funktionen vorhanden und funktionieren über Alexa und/oder die Gosund App.
