Works between 2.5G Cable Modem and Dream Machine Pro to isolate for lightning protection.
I am using this 10G media converter to connect my Comcast 2.5G modem to my Unfi Dream Machine Pro 10G SFP port for lightening protection. I am using fiber between the converter and the dream machine. I am using Ubiquiti 10G multi mode SFP's on both ends of fiber. Seems to work well.

Dead after 6 months of occasional usage.
I have been using this device occasionally for 6 months to setup SFP+ ports on gateways. Now it dead, power indicator is there but no transmission between ports at all. Paying a premium price for the two ports switch one would expect a decent quality.

Sad uplink speeds - Good customer care though!
uplink would never go over 100mbps but download on the other-hand would easily do 9.7Gbps down ( only recommended if you are stuck with a cable provider ). If you really want full speeds I'd recommend another product by FS. They have also tried reaching out to me about this and sent out updated version of this product it seems to have no switches but I am still not getting full upload speeds.
