Christopher Knight Home Mervynn Mid-Century Modern Fabric Recliner, Dark Blue

I ordered this product and it took about 1.5-2 weeks to get to my place. Fedex had a difficult time listening to my instruction of leaving it at the door. The box it comes in is heavy. When you open it up, it’s sort of confusing to look at. You’ll notice the fabric is protected and the box with the legs and instructions is in there somewhere. Putting it together will take 10 minutes and can be done by one person. Very simple. The chair is firm, but not too firm. The seat itself is quite long. The foot part of the recliner is sturdy and the transition into reclining is smooth. The back part of the seat is not long enough to support the neck of a tall person. It’s a well designed chair. It’s appealing without the recliner. I would recommend this product and say it’s one of the higher quality products and reasonably priced on all of Amazon. I did not notice any imperfections on the fabric itself.

I bought this chair for my Mid-Century home, so the style is perfect. As others have pointed out, if you love West Elm look but it’s too pricey, this is a good choice. I knew I was taking a risk with color when purchasing online, but the blue was exactly the shade I was hoping for, sort of muted, looks nice with my grey sofa. Couldn’t have been easier to put together, though needs feet tightened up after a few uses. Very lightweight, so easy to move around. Recommend non-slip pads or cups if you won’t have it fairly close to a wall. I like it because its size is right for my small living room. I find it very comfortable as a short and wider-than-I-would-like person. Paying close attention to all measurements is wise when buying online, but you knew that. :)

We needed to add a small recliner to the living room following my wife’s spine surgery. I liked the photo and specifications on line, but worried about the quality of such a low cost piece of furniture. I am glad I took the chance. The chair is small enough to fit in our little living room, but seems very sturdy, and is quite comfortable. It was well packaged and very easy to assemble.

I purchased to be just an accent chair and give my room some color. I didn't really expect anyone to use the chair on a daily basis but we do. It was simple to put together, the fabric is great, the color just as I expected, and the slim design makes it easy to tuck into the corner. Everyone is surprised it reclines. I love that there isn't a handle. It keeps the look modern.

This is a nice chair for the price. Pretty comfortable up right or semi-reclined but not fully reclined. After a month the fabric got all balled up like an old acrylic sweater.

I really dislike giving bad reviews to great products, but please be forewarned: DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR FROM AMAZON. You will NOT receive the right color. I bought one of these chairs (Dark Blue) in early August and it's FANTASTIC. Just the right size, comfortable, easy to assemble and a great price. I decided to buy a second, matching chair from Amazon and selected the same color, Dark Blue. I received Light Blue. Thinking this was a simple mistake, I scheduled a return and ordered a second Dark Blue chair. This time I received Purple. This second time I refused delivery and talked to customer service. I was told it was a logistics issue and the customer service rep would take personal responsibility and guaranteed I would receive the right color this time. Third chair arrives: Muted Orange. Again I refuse delivery and contacted customer service. I am told this will be investigated internally and to just give it some time to let Amazon work out the kinks. So, I essentially give it a month and a half. My fourth attempt to order a second Dark Blue chair was just this past week (October). I received it yesterday. The color? "Wheat". Customer service is "super outraged" on my behalf and promises to take the listing down while they investigate. Is the listing down? Nope. I don't know what their deal is, but save yourself the hassle and order this chair elsewhere.

Nice looking chairs, I got the blue, 3 actually and the color dark blue is beautiful . They are a firm comfortable which I like since I have a bad back and need the support I’m 5’5 and it’s perfect for me, my brothers-in-law is 6’2 he fits it fine but not in the recline position as his head hangs over Easy to put together just put the back on and put the 4 legs on. Seems to be holding up well, and always getting complements.

I bought this chair so I could have a recliner in a small space. I’ve been using it as my “nursing station chair” since I’ve recently come home with a newborn. It is a good looking chair and all my company comments on how they like it. I am 5’3 and if I were any taller I wouldn’t be able to sit in t comfortably for reclining purposes. You have to slide down in order to rest your head and then my hair gets stuck in the buttons and my calves are rather sore from the hard edge of the leg rest. I wish when you were in the recliner position that the back had the option to sit upright rather than laying back. It is comfortable enough for the price, but I wouldn’t get it for the main purpose of relaxation.

This chair is really well made, good quality and I like the color and very easy to assemble. It's perfect for a small space. The back is a bite too tilted...not for short people, has a long seat.

I like that this chair fits very well in small spaces. What I don’t like is that when you sit straight in it, the back goes too far back. What I don’t like also is that when you recline, it is very hard to bring it back to the straight position. Would buy an accent chair with the ottoman before buying this chair again.

This recliner was surprisingly not too bad. It is a very narrow chair so I would not recommend it for a person larger than 160 lbs.

Legs are angled poor, causing unstable seating. Very cautions when seating.
