L'Oreal Paris Colorista 1-Day Washable Temporary Hair Color Spray, Blue, 2 Ounces

My son is going crazy over this spray and his sonic the hedge hog blue hair. He even wrote a short story about the great compliments he gets, and the way he can "feel the power" when his hair is blue. He is 7, so who knows what he is talking about, but its been a huge hit. We tried the chalk sticks from a different brand and they were not nearly as bright as this spray. Here are my take aways and pointers: 1. I place a paper towel or cloth behind the hair that is to be sprayed so that clothing and skin are not affected. I have my daughter hold the item for me over her brother while I spray. 2. I spray in short bursts to make sure the blue is going where I intend. It is pretty powerful and the bursts are quick. 3. It is somewhat sticky - so I only allow him to wear this for 2 days before removing and taking a little break. 4. If he sweats, it does run. He wears a lacrosse helmet, and also swims twice a week, so we wear this in between and wash it out prior to him entering the pool. It is great for a short term hair style change. Enjoy

Color sits perfectly on top of my dark black hair! I love that I could try a hair color without having to bleach my own. It left my hair crunchy and the color rubbed off on my hands every time I touched it, even hours after application. I was so happy to see how well it came off in the shower after a couple of shampoos and rinsing.

We had a dye your hair day at work and I needed something super temporary. Ok so the good... It works really well. I have long jet black hair and 1 can was enough to cover most of my hair in bright blue. It also dries pretty quickly and it's decently easy to clean off stuff. The bad... You HAVE to style your hair first then spray it on. You cannot brush or comb it once it's on your hair. It's stiff like hair spray. It's very chalky once it goes on and then it comes off on EVERYTHING. Maybe spraying over it with hair spray might help to set it but i didn't try it. I had to wash my hair twice to get most of it off and still lightly had blue coming off on my hands and in my brush. If your hair is still stiff after you wash it, there's still product in it and you'll need to wash it again. I want to try the colorista hair makeup and see if that works better.

The color turned out fantastic. Bought two cans because of other reviews I read about needing to use a bunch to see the color but I only used half a can for a bright blue color. Only downfall is that it rubbed off on anything and everything you touch with your hair. I thought it might flake off when touching but it actually stained your hands and neck. Comes out with soap and water, just a little messier than I hoped. It also takes a week to wash out like others reviewed but it was worth it.

When you have mostly gray hair and choose to color it bright blue, you'll soon have a problem with a "skunk stripe" on your head. :D This product helps me blend in the gray areas until I can get to a salon again -- and stretches out the time between appointments, saving me $$$. The color isn't an exact match, but it's close enough; it gives a little extra dimension to the overall hair color. Applying it is no more messy than using regular hair dye: I use gloves and cover my clothes with an old zipped hoodie. Any overspray is easily washed away with a cotton ball dampened with a little soap & water. And the price is right. Highly recommended.

EDIT: After washing in the shower with shampoo and conditioner I can confirm that not only does it not all come out with one wash, but whatever is leftover *still isn't fully dried and can leave blue marks if you touch it*. And I'm not sure why but it leaves a weird texture on my hair as well. Changing my review from 3/5 to 1/5, completely worthless, if you need dyed hair you're better off grabbing a friend and applying at home. Leaving my original review below. ----------------------------- I’ll give it points that the color is very vibrant but that’s mainly it. Can’t speak yet on how easy it is to wash out but can confirm a couple notes: - The dye stains like crazy. It’s thankfully easy to wash on hands and skin but it’s been about an hour since applying it as of writing and the dye on my hair still hasn’t fully dried - The can doesn’t have enough to do full coverage unless you have short hair. I’m still skeptical though on how short you need because my hair is only just above shoulder length and it couldn’t even get half of the surface of my hair I think this is only worth it if you can’t have dyed hair for longer than a day and/or only need a small chunk dyed. Otherwise you’re better off just using actual dye and dealing with the new color for a month or so

Blue temporary hair color spray, used for cosplay. Covered very well. I'm blonde so not sure how it would work for brunette or red hair. Short hair, thought I'd need 2 but used not quite all of the first can. Took maybe three lathers to get out, but I had it on thick.

Wow is it ever bright blue! Sprays on, kinda messy but works awesome!

The only reason why I didn't five 5 stars : one bottle is not enough to do all my daughter's hair (9 yo, she has a bob, chin level). The blue was super blue but I couldn't finish her hair. I followed an advice I found here: put conditioner, rinse, wash a couple of time with shampoo (until clear), conditioner again and her hairs are back to blond.

got this for my son and he loves it . Colorful hair without the commitment of dye . He has light brown hair and the color was really vibrant. Color does transfer , but washes easily.

Brilliant colour and washes out in one wash. My hair is mostly white in the front and since I’m still pretty young sometimes I like to cover it up with an eye catching colour. But I’m also in a professional industry and have a conservative look for work. With this product I can be a little wild on the weekend and it washes out for work on Monday
