Read this: I love the formula, but the original shape was a bit bulky to handle. I found that cutting the bar in half (widthwise) made it much easier to use. By rubbing the flat, cut side directly on my scalp and using the rest in my palm, I get a much faster, more controlled lather. It’s a great hack for anyone struggling with the teardrop shape! Don’t cut length wise, it will flatten out too quickly! As someone who only uses shampoo and skips conditioner, this bar is excellent. It provides enough body and 'bounce' on its own thanks to the rice protein. It doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped, just very clean and full of volume! I think you will really like this I have body on my hair and natural waves. Not curly but this is GREAT!

So many good things in this little bar! I have fine, color treated 2B/2C hair, and this bar works perfectly for me. It left my hair feeling clean but not dry, the angled tip easily glides onto my hair and distributes the product well, and it works up a nice lather. I noticed slightly more definition in my waves as well, even without conditioner. Oh, and it smells AMAZING! It's a natural citrusy, fruity scent.

My personal favorite curly shampoo, but it's not perfect. Cleans hair without leaving it dry and I have gotten some good end results. I would still consider a clarifying shampoo every now and then too. My biggest issue with this soap is its performance is highly dependent on how well you can let it dry between uses. Considering that solid shampoo is ideal for travel the fact that it dries poorly even in dry through bags like the ones from matador is a bit of a shame. That being said, I still get good enough longevity and results that justify buying one every 1/2 months. Dry on top of the bag you pack it in!

I'm a big fan of bar shampoos, they're especially great for traveling, I can take very little with me and they last a long time. I've even used another HIBAR shampoo bar that I liked. However! This bar in particular was terrible. After a few showers it melted into a gooey puddle and never dried back into a solid form again. It was gross and difficult to travel with, I had to throw it away. I have never had this problem with any other bar shampoo.
