Wow—what an incredible little powerhouse! This surface skimmer has completely blown me away. I installed it today on my brand-new 75-gallon freshwater planted aquarium, and within minutes, the difference was astonishing. The biofilm and surface debris vanished almost instantly, leaving the water crystal clear. It's efficient, quiet, and works like magic. If you have a planted aquarium, this is an absolute must-have. I cannot recommend this brilliant piece of equipment highly enough—it's a total game-changer!

Best skimmer ever. Very little noise to none. Durability you can count on. same but powerful. My fish love it and cleans my surface tank well. Great fit for my tank, and great budget cost.

The media could not be loaded. My only criticism of this would be when it gets some leaf matter or plant matter caught up in it, it will make a loud spitting dispersion of water, which I think can stress fish if left on attended. I love this product for taking some surface skim off the water every few days, or as needed, which it does very well and very quickly. It works great in my taller tanks but not necessarily in my 16 gallon betta tank, unless I keep it on low. I do wish there was a smaller model for smaller tanks and perhaps , it would disperse the water down and out using a deflector of some type. If it is too close to the bottom of your tank, you’ll need to consider the downward force and how it may affect things inside the tank, including gravel, mulm and other debris.It runs completely quiet when it’s clean and free of debris and only presents a problem if you happen to have some floating plant matter on the surface that gets sucked in. My Betta fish are completely safe around it even when swimming right up to it due to their curiosity.

Works really good cleared a thick layer of film that my reef tank had due to my AIO not having a natural falling lip word of caution it is pretty strong flow so if you have any low flow coral try to put it into the AIO chamber and it’s working pretty good for me no micro bubbles except for starting it but my waters crystal clear and my corals are enjoying the extra PAR

I’m super upset, the product pretty much Killed my betta fish.Worked fine, it did what it’s supposed to do, I only plug it when it needed.However my fish got stuck between the product and the glass of the tank, idk for how long he was there because it was a super early work day and lights weren’t on when I left.Came back to him stuck, I panicked and as soon I took the suction cups he float lifeless.If you guys care for any feedback I would suggest maybe a different cups, ones that won’t get too close to the glass for little fishes like bettas.I loved this fish like all my others but the fact of knowing he most likely were suffering makes me extra upset

I rarely write reviews... Really only if something is really good...or bad. After trying probably 3 other surface skimmers plus a surface skimmer integrated to my protein skimmer...I finally found what I was looking for. This surface skimmer works perfect. I have it in a 33 gallon tank and it works flawlessly to remove the surface film I was having build up on the surface. And it looks great too. Very happy!

While the product generally works well, it consistently creates micro bubbles during use. The amount of bubbles varies, sometimes appearing in large quantities and other times just a few, but it’s an issue that persists each time. This was a bit disappointing, as it affects the overall look of the aquarium.

Good things about this product: very nice, quality build, not intrusive design. Also very easy to clean without having to take the whole unit outBad things- Like many reviews mentioned, unless used at very low settings, huge bubble clouds- with the sponge so small, it clogs up quickly so the skimmer needs daily or two daily care. If not flow rate changes and after 2 days it doesn't really clean oil on the aquarium surface any more.I'm going back to the Eheim 350 and keep this as a spare for back up only. With the eheim i can go for a week holiday without worries, not this.
