The lights are sturdy and pretty bright compared to other bike lights. They are much more sturdy than others I have purchased. Only problem was one arrived broken so it only works part of the time. It looks like in shipping it got smashed, so I had to force the battery in the device. It still works most of the time, so I didn’t want to make a trip to UPS to get a replacement. I would recommend especially if you have a kiddo that falls a lot on their bike and is rough with their bike, they are the best light I have found that do not break or lose parts.

With it being a brutal summer, I wanted to get my long weekend bike rides started sooner before the sun came up so I could be inside before the brutal TX heat really kicked in. However, that meant heading out in the dark. While the area I ride in is generally respectful of cyclists, that's a moot point if they can't see you. I have the typical rear taillight for general riding. But I wanted more since it would be pitch black. An Amazon search turned these up. I took a chance and have used them almost 10 times, for close to 800 miles. So far they've worked great. They definitely light up the wheels. They aren't super bright, but bright enough for any car to see me at night. If I was riding in the day with these, they aren't bright enough and get washed out by the sun. So they don't provide any additional safety once the sun is up. But that's OK, too. Installation is easy enough, and the batteries have lasted thus far. Overall I'm highly satisfied. It gives me more confidence when riding in the dark. I feel lit up like a Christmas Tree with these and other lights I've installed. If I get run over by a car, it won't be because I wasn't seen. Highly recommended.

The product works as expected and is of a neat design. As others have documented the results are not as spectacular for kids and casual riders. When my granddaughter and I ride we average about 8 miles per hour. During that time the pattern only covers about a quarter of the wheel. If she gears up and really pushes on her 26 inch bike she can cover about half of the wheel. So to fill the full wheel I am sure that most riders are going to need to move pretty fast. Again this isn't really a design flaw, it comes down to wheel size, and how the eye/brain perceive the leds in motion. I am sure a 20 inch when turning more RPMs will show better results. It is a good safety tool to improve visibility and adds the "cool" factor for kids and adults. We also have powerful LED headlights and LED strobe taillights but these improve our side view profile.

The product arrived as described. My kids love them. The lights takes a second to crew on but if you have basic mechanical skills you can install this easily. When a battery needs to be replaced it is very easy. I like you can leave these on all the time and they activate when the wheel moves OR you can turn off/on every time. I have had these since late November last yr. Like to leave my reviews a little later on items. Lastly, customer service is on point, very prompt, and courteous. Would buy again when/if needed

I so badly want to love these lights and write an amazing review. The patterns are awesome, they are bright, and my kids love them. I have bought a total of 8 of these, 2 for each tire on 2 kids bikes. You need 2 on each wheel for a fuller design while riding. We have received so many compliments. Most of all, vehicles see us! Problem is, if you go on regular rides like we do, almost every evening for 30-45 minutes, plan on replacing the batteries every single time you use them. We have even been careful to make sure they are off, which is tricky and still the next night we have to switch out batteries again. I also purchased another variety of string lights from this vendor and have yet to replace the batteries in those with at least a months worth of rides completed. Ill probably purchase more of those soon to replace these ones.

There are a lot of inexpensive bike lights available on Amazon from a variety of sellers with somewhat off-kilter English, and I've tried several; the reason to buy from DAWAY is that their customer service is top-notch. One of my two lights worked perfectly; the other stopped working after two uses. DAWAY replaced it immediately and at no cost to me. (Plus they always say "Hi dear NAME" in their e-mails, which is charming.) I don't ride fast enough for the patterns to be pretty, but I'm certainly very visible at night!

unusable/defective. turns on and works fine when bike is not moving. lights turn off as soon as bike is in motion. don't waste your money. low quality defective product.

These are so much fun! We purchased two sets (one for each wheel) for birthday gifts for my son and a friend. They installed in minutes and are easily activated with motion! They turn off automatically which is key for an 6 and 8 year old! The images change - I think from the speed of bike which is super cool. Only downside is that the kids can't see them while they are riding, so I'm left taking video after video of them riding up and down the driveway (LOL). Great for kids! Great for a gift!
