Purchased for use on my 2008 (ish) Kenmore (by Janome). I was reluctant to buy on line, but the local repair shop suggested I find one to fit my old machine at sewingpartsonline.com to avoid paying a huge markup purchasing retail. My search at that site was unproductive, so I turned to Amazon reviews. Reviews for the Singer brand were positive, and specifically mentioned it fitting older Kenmores. I am new to sewing, and will take an intro to quilting class this summer. I have not had the opportunity to use with a project yet, however, I tried and tested each foot in the quilting kit (walking foot; darning foot, 1/4 foot). All fit fine, easy to put on and take off (low shank machine) and appear to be operational. I am pleased with my purchase, and recommend to others who might be “on the fence”. There were cheaper options on Amazon, but they got very inconsistent reviews. Going with the Singer brand gave me some peace of mind.

This product does exactly what it’s intended to do but I was a little disappointed that there is no hole for a seal guide to slide into. I hate drawing my lines onto my fabric which is just an extra step I’d like to skip, so it lost a star for that! But the foot is absolutely great! Easy installation and fit my singer heavy duty just fine!

Good product but you should get the walking foot with the attached seam guide bar. This one does not have the bar adaptor.

Fits my Singer heavy duty machine. I have used it to finish one quilt and now I'm working on a baby quilt. It keeps the fabric moving through evenly. I'm really happy with this!

So it works great but as a beginner sewer I wish it had descriptions on the parts and instructions on how to attach them, instead of having to look it up. I mean I'm lucky that I had some idea on how to or what the parts were because I needed them but it would have been helpful if there was instructions.

The walking foot attachment made a huge difference when sewing layers! I didn’t know that I was missing this in my sewing adventures! My only complaint is that it isn’t a claw style to hold the bar for up and down motion so I have to use a small elastic to attach it so that it goes up and down and doesn’t stick in the up position.
