Have you ever tried to use multiple PSUs on one mining rig? You can use a plug to trick the other PSUs into turning on but you can't control the on/off switch. Those power supplies stay powered on even if you power off the rig. You have to use the switch on the back of the PSU to turn it off. This cable allows you to use 3 power supplies on one ATX motherboard. When you power on/off the rig all 3 PSU will shut down. This cable is a must have for mining rigs running 12 and 13 GPUs.
