Tuning fork and box are very well made. Fork fits snugly into receptacle and pitch is good. Very resonant.

This tuning fork is not 440hz, and looks very half-assly made. Wood is barely sanded so it’s rough looking and there is visible glue underneath the base of the fork. Hardly worth 20 bucks

The sounding box makes these A440 tuning forks very handy. They come TWO in the package. My only complaint is that they are NOT well packed. The forks are shipped INSIDE one of the sounding boxes, which are Not terribly rugged. One of the forks punched out the end of one of the boxes. Fortunately, if you work on violins, you have glue and clamps, so it was an easy fix. That said, if you want a decent value, there a good deal.

I got this for creating binaural beats for entraining brainwaves states. After trying many, these are great because the material is robust and heavy and they ring out for a decent length (still have to keep whacking them on a hockey puck to get em going again, but that's expected). The best part is the adjuster on the one fork for changing the pitch. This allows you to create 8hz beats for alpha or 4hz beats for theta or whatever you want. Loving that freedom because it saves buying several forks. I do this as a quick fix sometimes after a stressful day at work to change from a high beta state to alpha, it really works and is huge for mental health and general quality of life. For this purpose, I highly recommend. Small detail: the adjusting piece is plastic on mine, not metal as shown. Still does the job though.
