I hate driving. I've had some scares in the past where I've almost been driven off the road by aggressive drivers. Or by careless / distracted drivers texting, putting make up on, playing with the radio, eating -- you name -- while driving.And not just because of other drivers, but also because of all this news you see about police brutality. I wanted something that could also record audio.I've planned on purchasing a dash cam for a while but only got around to it recently. I didn't want something too large because I hate clutter in my car. And I didn't want to purchase a separate memory card.I discovered this dash cam while browsing through Amazon and decided to give it a go. So far so good! The packaging was good, the camera was small, and it came with a memory card. All pluses in my book.I had some video I wanted to upload from this camera, but the files were like 150 MB each... kind of big, so I need to figure out how to do that. But the video was good, the field of view was wide, and the audio was clear. I will try to figure out how to upload later.Some tips:When you first get this camera, you'll be searching for the memory card. I searched the box inside and out and could not find it. Then I noticed that the memory card was already inserted into the camera. Doh!It also comes with this little USB adapter that you can insert the memory card into so that you can easily access all your files. Super handy. This way you don't have to remove the entire unit from your car just to get the videos.Also, there is an option in the menu called "Loop Recording". It was scratching my head trying to figure out what this was. Just leave this at 1 minute. What this does is that it will create a new video file for each one minute worth of recording. Then when your memory card runs out of space, it will overwrite the oldest file with the new video file.The included memory card is 8 GB. Each 1 minute worth of video is around 150 MB. This means it will fit around 53 minutes worth of video. I think this is plenty. Just make sure to leave the "Loop Recording" at 1 minute.I think at the price point, this is a pretty good item. I will update the review with more findings in the future if I run into issues, etc.Hope this helps prospective buyers.

The media could not be loaded.  Updated: Worked well for about 6 months, then it kept crashing and I would get the blue screen of death. I could reset it sometimes, but the one time that I needed the video recording, it didn't record. I threw it out. I honestly would recommend getting a better known brand. Original review is below.It is very simple to use. I just plug it in and it starts recording. When I am getting out of the car, I simply unplug the camera and put it in my purse. I prefer to not leave my camera in the car since I live in Florida and the car interior can get to sweltering temperatures. The video quality is excellent. With the wide lens camera, it hits 4 lanes of traffic easily. I was amazed when it caught a car accident 4 lanes over from me, and I even submitted the video to the police and insurance company for those involved. I will be honest, it felt good to be able to help someone.If you are looking for a dash camera that is simple to set up and that takes great quality videos, I highly recommend this one. It even comes with an 8 GB memory card, most dash cameras do not include one. This comes with everything you will need to just start using it right away. It has the charger, USB cable, windshield mount, cord clips, micro SD adapter, micro SD card and instructions.It takes a little getting used to in regards to how to set up the date and time, but once you read the instructions and get the hang of it, it is simple to do.WIDE ANGLE CAMERA:The listing says that it will cover 4 lanes of traffic, and it definitely does. Even at night it takes great video. Within one day of using it, I caught an accident on the other side of a 4 lane road. I was very happy to provide the video to the police as evidence for the poor people who were injured in the accident, proving that it was the other drivers fault. The wide angle camera is an awesome feature.FORMAT MEMORY CARD:I believe one of the most important things about a dash camera is to format your memory card from time to time. It keeps the card in good condition/clean. It's very easy to do, you can use the camera to format the card, or you can use the micro SD adapter which is included, and format on your computer.SETTINGS:Resolution: 1080FHD, 720P, WVGA, VGALoop Recording: 1, 3, or 5 minute loops (sections) of video. You can also set to "off" but I don't know why anyone would want to do that. I origianally purchased this dash cam back in October 2017. After 1 month the unit stopped working. It would record random lengths of video. 10 seconds, 5 minutes, 34 seconds.... all random. Then the screen started to freeze up. I contacted their customer support and they gave me some things to try. Didn't work. I contacted them and they sent me a new unit.The new unit had a different software, as when I plugged it in, it actually said "Aisdom" on the screen. I had high hopes. It was working great for another month, then the screen started to freeze and lock up. I will try to attach the photos I took of the screen. Just unacceptable.The customer service was quick and responsive. If they do get around to reading this - Do you have a dash cam that actually works?As for purchasing this dash cam, do NOT do it. I now own a non-working piece of plastic. Wish I would have purchased a better dash cam from a different company.I am a driver for Uber and Lyft, dash cam footage can be very valuable in my line of work.If the seller tries to make this right, I will update my review.

The 1 problem I had was whenever I had my heater running in my car the Dash Camera would get overheated and froze up until its reset.
