Can't complain with Alvin's Cables
I've bought so many cables from Alvin's Cables and they've all been positive reviews such has this. Bought this one in particular for the Blackmagic Pyxis.

great cable, could be cheaper! love Alvins stuff
I'm blown away by this item! The construction and build quality are exceptional, and it's held up well under frequent use. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable, high-quality item. This is an honest, unpaid review, and while the price could be more reasonable, I believe that it's worth the investment.

Customer support can be improved
Edit: Oct 16, 2020. The seller Mr.Alvin got back to me claiming that all three of the previous emails I sent over were all found in spam unfortunately. Idk how three separate threads can end up like that but okay. Anyhow, after I submitted a question on Amazon asking why they won’t respond and after leaving this email, they reached out and sent a replacement. The replacement works fine, for now. The customer service can use some improvement, but at the end of the day, thanks for getting the issue resolved.Do NOT buy unless you want to buy a new cable every year. Mine broke and probably short circuited internally within a year of use. I bough a 2-pin Lemo to p tap power cable and a coiled BNC SDI cable at 10/16/2019. Both became defective with last month of shoot. The SDI cable broke first and I reached out for a warranty claim, they were nice enough to send me a replacement. However when the 2-pin lemo cable broke the week after and fried our RED Wooden Camera battery plate and costed us $500+ on repair, Alvin’s cable refuses to respond to my warranty claim email. I’m only asking for a replacement of the cable, and I am willing to send the defective unit back for repair and diagnoses. But still, no response. It seems that if they like you, and you don’t ask for replacement when the stuff you bought don’t work, they will work with you. But once you had one return/replacement, they will never offer you any warranty on the stuff you paid good money for. Just a total fraud

Great for the price
For a fraction of the cost of the same cable from Teradek. Would buy again

Worked Perfectly, Going to Order Another
This worked perfectly with my Teradek Bolt 500 XT. Unfortunately I just lost it on a job the other day and need to get a replacement after having it for less than a week but even with a second cable it’s still cheaper than buying the official Teradek lemo to ptap cable.I would and have already recommended to a friend.

Very low quality cable.
My D-tap to 2-pin cable worked a brief amount of time before it shorted. The cable uses knockoff Anton Bauer and Lemo parts--expected for the price, I suppose. The D-tap side usually does not fail (and easy to re-solder if it does), but the Lemo side is either poorly soldered (pins are close together in the connector), and/or poorly protected from strain by the knockoff Lemo part. In my case, there was no strain on the connector; it simply failed. Thankfully I have short protection, but I would never use these cables again on any of my devices. The costs of liability far outweigh the cable savings. If your device uses Lemo connectors, chances are it's worth thousands to tens of thousands. There is good reason connectors like Fischer and Lemo are used in the highest-end air/spacecraft, marine, and military applications! If you want to save you'd be better off buying genuine Lemo/AB parts, and getting someone at an A/V shop to solder a cable for you. (An OEM D-tap costs less than $10, and 2-pin Lemo $20-30).My cable failure occurred months ago; I wrote 'Alvin' several times without reply. Having seen how quickly my cable failed, I would not use their cables with my gear again due to the great liability.

Great customer service!
Alvin’s Cables offers a high quality product at a very reasonable price. The customer service is excellent! I ordered a cable, and due to the direction of the 90° angle on the connector, it happened to be incompatable with the component I was using, I contacted Alvin’s and within hours I had a response. Alvin’s will be where I shop for all my specialty cable needs. I am very satisfied with their service.
