Excellent for children
I bought this set for a 12 year old boy who recently acquired an interest in metal detecting and coins. While it's important that the packet contain coins and not round metal things, the price for the quantity tells me 3 things: 1) this is a low-labor thing, no one hand-selected each coin for a proper mix and vetting whether it really is, say, a Russian coin and not a Russian meter token; 2) it's going to be heavy on smaller denominations, 3) there will be duplicates, because see 1). Some are very worn. Countries represented include Australia, England, Germany, Dominican Republic, and some far East country, I would say China or Japan but we can't tell. Many more countries too. Two of the coins are commemoratives; but they're the largest coins in the bunch, faux gold, and in very good shape, so all in all were a nice addition. As the other reviewer said, it wouldn't be my cup of tea, but after opening the present the boy spent over 3 hours studying and sorting the coins, replying 'maybe later' when I offered him a brownie and milk. To me, that means he liked it, and that's the goal. If you're buying this because you're hoping to find a coin you can sell to recoup the purchase price, it's the wrong reason. If you're buying because kids like a puzzle, will look up all the different countries on a map, and you want to support a new interest in coin collecting with something more spectactular than 3 lonely pennies costing $50, then this is beyond their wildest dreams.

Good stuff
What a fun way to spend the day. I'm a coin collector and bought this as a giveaway along with filling in some gaps in my own collection. There were some duplicates but many more coins which I did not already have. I liked that it had a mix of new coins along with some older ones. I was also surprised with two coins which were silver. It took me all day to go through and categorize them, and that is what makes it a good buy in my book. I seriously agree that this would make a great gift for a child interested in collecting or even a moderate collector.

Great, if you collect Canadian pennies
Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up with two lots of coins. I ordered them both from this same listing but each lot came from a different seller, from different parts of the US, in different packaging. The first lot was what I had been expecting - a decent variety of foreign coins with some repeats (mostly euros and UK coins). The second lot though was literally 1/4 Canadian pennies. Really unimpressed with the coins in this bag. Buy at your own risk!

A lot of duplicate coins
I received the package promptly, and I was excited to dig through them all. The coins were put all into one ziplock bag and then inside of the bubbled envelope. There were many coins that I had never seen before, and that was why I gave 4 stars. On the flip side, the coins of only three countries dominated the contents. Many of the same exact coins from the same countries were also minted in the same year. I don’t know how the company that fills these orders, but it doesn’t appear to be at random. For instance, there were about 60 coins that were from Aruba, and out of those 60, there was an even distribution between the 5, 10, and 25 cents denominations. There was some Japanese coinage that made up about 1/3 of the weight of the package, and they were the all exact same coin. There is no guarantee about finding no duplicates though, so I will not blame them. I received exactly what I ordered. It was still worth what I paid for, despite all of the duplication, because the hunting is half of the fun.

Great selection, 60 countries
Even better than I expected. NOT for finding rare coins, great for education or fun collecting. I got coins from: Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, East Caribbean States, England, Ecuador, Euro, Fiji, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Samoa, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela. All denominations, from 1/2 a Franc to 500 Livres. The zoomed out photo shows stacks of unique coins. I got 120 unique coins, and am happy about the duplicates, because I can give them to kids or use them for a treasure hunt or something. Most were recent minting, with the oldest at 1957,1963, 1967. I looked a couple up to see the value, and none were over face value, but I expected nothing different. This is a super fun product.

Poor variety, not older and larger coins.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Advertised as older and heavier coins. It was at least half Mexican and Euro coins. There was one coin from 1945 the rest were 1970’s and newer and mostly in the 2000’s. There were a few larger coins but definitely not as described. Probably less than 20 countries, pretty low for 2lbs. I did get a few types that were not already in my collection. I do realize world coin lots are pretty random but, this was probably worst variety I’ve seen in all that I’ve purchased. The bag also broke open in shipping. Overall, I’m going back to other sellers I’ve purchased from in the past.

Coins and variety look great. Original issue was resolved above what was expected.
I had originally left a negative review because my item did not arrive, I did not hear from the seller and the order remained unshipped. HOWEVER, earlier this week, the seller reached out and apologized. They explained that they had left town for a family emergency and they must have forgotten to switch their account to away. I had already been issued a refund at this point, but the seller said they were going to send me the order regardless to make it right. They did end up arriving today. I appreciate that the seller reached out and went above and beyond with their resolution. The coins look great and they even threw in a couple of sets. I’m sure my son, who I am gifting them too, will be thrilled. Thank you again to the seller. For some reason, I was unable to reply to your message so I hope you see this review.
