Nexcare Steri-Strip Wound Closure, Breathable Strips Hold Small Wounds Firmly Closed, Great After Sutures or Staples - 30 Wound Closures

These worked perfectly for putting over my surgical incisions. If you need these, this is the right place! I’ve had these for about a month now and they stayed on for the 7-10 days i needed them too. I had a couple slowly come off, but it was mostly due to location and from showering. They weren’t painful at all and stick the best with proper cleaning of the site with alcohol. The only downside was, they were a bit too long, but I just cut them in half and it was perfect! If you need cheap but high quality steri-strips, these are the right choice!

They work very well. I have been able to shower with mine, doing my best to avoid direct contact with water. They get wet every time, but as long as I pat them with a towel and wait for them to dry before moving around too much or putting my compression sleeve back on, they don’t peel off. I have had mine on for five days now and they are still working. They have peeled up around the edges, but five days is pretty good I’d say. Being able to put a compression sleeve over them to prevent them from lifting also really helps. I have five incisions from my knee surgery and I was able to use about seven strips cut into various sizes. So this is a really great option to make me feel better about my cuts healing well and not worrying about the gross post-surgery strips that I had before. Just be careful with the strips and if you need to use them on a leg or an arm, put a breathable compression sleeve over them and you’ll be golden for the entire healing process.

These will be great for my future needs as I have an upcoming small surgery that will require these types of steri strips. I don’t do well with stitches so this is my go-to. These do work well but they also do lift at the edges after some time. I try and pair these with bandaids as well to help keep the incision covered and as dry as possible. For the current sale price I would absolutely recommend them! At the time of purchase and the review, the price is 14.99 and on sale for 6.49.

I’ve used Nexcare Steri-Strip Wound Closures a few times now for small but deep cuts that didn't quite require a trip to the ER for stitches. These are the same type of strips used in hospitals, and they do an incredible job of pulling the skin together to help it heal with minimal scarring. Why I gave it 4 stars: My only real complaint—and it’s a big one if you're active—is that I wish they were waterproof. The adhesive is very strong on dry skin, but the moment they get even slightly damp (like from washing your hands or a quick shower), they start to peel and lose their tension. You really have to be careful to keep the area bone-dry or cover them with a secondary waterproof dressing. The Highlights: Breathable Design: Unlike some plastic bandages, these are made of a porous material that lets the skin "breathe," which I think helps the wound stay healthy while it's closed. Firm Hold: When applied to clean, dry skin, the tension is impressive. They hold small wounds firmly closed and don't stretch out over time. Less Irritating: I have somewhat sensitive skin, and these didn't leave that itchy, red rectangular mark that cheaper bandages often do. Great for First Aid Kits: This is a "must-have" for a home kit. They are much more effective at closing a gap than a standard band-aid. The Verdict: If you need to keep a small wound closed and want a clean heal, Steri-Strips are the gold standard. Just be prepared to keep them away from water or use a waterproof cover-up!

Need a butterfly type bandage? This is an excellent option. When my kid fell and gashed her knee, this helped close her cut to help it heal quickly. She didn’t need stitches but the wound needed to close. This is pretty easy to apply and helps close an open wound. The brand is one of my favorites so I was happy to see they made this type of bandage as well.

I have very thin skin and regular bandages bruise it when being removed. This works perfectly.
