XPEL Clear Paint Protection Film Roll, 6" x 84", Self-Healing PPF, PPF Kit

I used this to cover a mountain bike. Ended up using the entire roll with a couple of inches left. I have used XPEL tapes in the past, they are top notch. Easy application and fantastic results. Sticky, moves easily when wet, can be corrected when necessary, thin, clear, all the good stuff. Also comes with a good squeegee, the type that is very flexible (feels like silicone). Works great when the surface is not flat. The rigid plastic squeegees that you normally get are useless on bikes that are all round tubes with no flat surfaces, and also do not work sell on many parts of a car, like the front, back, mirrors, etc. I really do not trust the other listings on Amazon and eBay, you can see in the reviews that results are all over the place. I assume there are a lot of counterfeits. This seems to be a genuine product from one of the top brands, and it works great. If you ever tried one of the cheaper brands or the counterfeits, you will know what I mean.

Film is much thicker and of a higher quality than I had expected. I have never applied a protective film before. It is firm but does stretch a little and has some give. Watched a few videos and gave it a shot. For the slip solution recommendations were for 2ml baby shampoo per 32 ounces of distilled water. I found it better with 2.5 ml or 1/2 teaspoon and 24 ounces of water. It allowed a little more slip and forgiveness for a beginner. For the tack solution recommendations were not to exceed 17% alcohol so I used 150 ml 91% isopropyl alcohol to 850ml of water, Or 3 ounces of alcohol for every 17 ounces of water. This ratio worked well for me to tack corners. I found the application fairly easy on flat or slightly curved areas. Once applied it is very hard to see and has similar gloss to car. Looks very good. Squeegee worked well. Just the right stiffness for me. Due to my inexperience had difficulty on sharp corners and different angles. Material was forgiving, was able to remove and reapply fairly easily. Recommendations were to wet hands thoroughly with skip solution, clean area thoroughly and wear lent free clothes. I did have some issues with small pieces of lent/dirt on white car. If I noticed in time was able to pull film away and flush out with slip solution. Would definitely buy again. I may even try to do the hood. I also applied to inside of cup holder and seems to be working very well. Metal cups were scratching the plastic. I don’t know what other films are like so nothing to compare to, but this seemed like a very good product. Hope this helps.

The product is shipped in a plastic container with a squeegee to apply the film which helps reduce air bubbles.. It is one piece which can be easily cut/modified with a scissor or carpenter's knife. Application of this product is tricky. Use large volumes of water while using your hands / included tool to ensure air bubbles are reduced. I believe the product will protect my front hood from chips caused by stones. I totally expect this to be replaced in the future because of the amount of debris that my truck incurs. I found it easy to redo sections that had air bubbles making sure I added plenty of water each time. As a novice, I achieve what I think was acceptable results. I would recommend this product. The price point is low enough to provide enough protect and not be unsightly.

Works great as a paint protection film.

Simply the best film you can buy. No instructions, but really, you are better off watching videos of how to install it because written directions would probably be pretty useless

I hate to give this product the lowest rating. It has provided such great paint protection on my car for so many years that I decided to put it on an unprotected section of my grill myself. But my project ended in absolute disaster. Why? Because there are NO INSTRUCTIONS included with the packaging. It simply tells you to go to their website, where there are no suitable instructions for this product. Fortunately, other reviewers here have provided some tips and guidance. Unfortunately, I didn’t see them until it was too late. I did watch the pros install it on my car, though. So I meticulously measured and cut a very tricky curved piece of the PPF to perfection. Then I learned, the hard way, not to use de-ionized water to apply it. Now my grill section has bubbles galore. I don’t want to try to remove it myself because it is adjacent to Xpel film that was professionally installed, and I don’t want to ruin that. And I don’t want to pay someone to remove my disastrous piece because I already spent a lot on the pro wrap job. Sorry, it just unacceptable to fail to provide instructions for this.

Easy to apply, no air bubbles

貼りやすいしお勧めです。貼り方はユーチューブでも紹介されていますが、水をたっぷりつけて施工してください。 ただ、ゴム手袋は必須です。手の指紋がつく可能性が高いです。指紋がついたら目立ちますし、とれません。 私はヘッドライトに施工しましたが見事に指紋が付きました。気になりますがもったいないのでそのままです。

Awesome product. Have used it for the car as well as other purposes, like a protective layer on the back of my phone and to protect the clasp of a watch bracelet from scuffs. Works like a charm.

This was sold as an 84 inch roll of protective film however after I had started using it and realising that it was running out very quickly I measured the full roll and it’s only 60 inches.
