August SteinerMen's Swiss Quartz Watch - Simple and Elegant Large Face Arabic Numeral Hour Markers On Genuine Leather Strap - AS8090

I debated leaving a one or two star rating. Ordered this for Christmas gift. Amazon shipping is above excellent. Watch itself came in a nice box on a little pillow. 5 weeks later the leather band started separating. Not where it was attached, the two layers, as though the glue made it split. Week after that the hands on the watch came apart. Obviously the 3 hands are held on by one rotating rivet which came loose I suppose. The 3 rd hand, (seconds) was completely detached and floating around watch. Still kept time. I called the warranty and that girl was absolutely no help whatsoever. Wanted the watch back. They would fix and send back, avg 10 business days unless parts needed ordering then it would be 4-6 weeks. Oh, and no, they would do noting with the separating band. She couldn't grasp the concept none of it should never have happened at 6 weeks. Supposedly the value of watch is $300. Ha! Called regular customer service, stated again after 6 weeks nothing should be wrong with watch. She issued me a replacement, overnighted, label to return the new watch is different. Even though it has the same model number on back of watch Its no longer Swiss quartz it now says Japan movement. The watch face is slightly different, the watch is slightly larger/the font looks different size...although that may be due to the fact that "Swiss quartz" isn't printed on bottom below the 6. All in all, definitely not worth the MSRP, I'm not sure it's worth the $40 i spent on it. I've never heard of "Japan mvt" but would have preferred the Swiss quartz still stated in the description

This watch is classy and clean. I love wearing it out instead of my workout watch, which, although cool, is not as classy as this one. The only two problems with it are:1) While the cardinal hour marks on the watch glow in the dark, the hands do not. I can't read it easily at night! Also, one of the dots is a little bit off where it should be.2) It's a little thicker than I like. The face is minimal and large but I don't know why they couldn't make it 2/3 to 1/2 the height.Otherwise, this is a really classy watch. I'm also not crazy about the "August Steiner" font choice but it is so small, it's not a big deal.

The watch receive is slightly different than the one shown on here. The face is a charcoal grey which actually looks better (same face layout and numbers), the rest of the look is the same but the major difference is that it is NOT Swiss Quartz Movement. It is Japanese. Personally, that doesn't bother me because it works well and it is a nice watch for the price on amazon. But it is falsely advertised. All in all, if you are looking for a fine quality watch and don't care about the movement, i'd still recommend it.

Watch is great looking; however, it is definitely not worth the original sticker price as labeled. For a watch in the $50 range, I've received many compliments. Black dial provides a very formal and business casual look. I wear it to the office. Would recommend for business casual attire. Watch band is somewhat flimsy; however the casing seems to be very well constructed.

"Retail" price tag of around $500.00 is misleading as this watch is pretty low quality. Nothing wrong with it, just cheaply made and the high sticker price leads you to believe it will be of better quality.Follow up 2 months later: the watch no longer works after the slightest of bumps while wearing it. Arms just dropped off whatever was holding them in place and now they just dangle wherever gravity takes them.

Classic watch at a very good price.I love this watch because it is a simple but effective design. The crystal is large another plus for me personally. It has kept good time since I received it and the leather band is sturdy. I would class this watch as a dress or casual watch. All in all I am very happy with my purchase.Also I have to commend Amazon Staff for their amazing service particularly at this time of the year when they must be rushed off their feet.May you have a wonderful year. Some other reviewers have taking issue with this being Japanese quartz, not Swiss quartz. And it's true: the product page lists the Movement as Swiss, but the watch is labeled as Japanese. I didn't notice until I saw the reviews complaining about it, and I just reset it for Daylight Saving's Time and found it had not dragged or rushed noticeably in the past six months. Very sharp blue watch face, and I've had no issues with the piece working poorly.I highly recommend, despite the Movement's incorrect advertisement.

This watch I received was not as advertised. This watch is clearly advertised as a "Swiss Quartz movement" watch and the watch I received does not indicate that on the face. Then upon further investigation, the watch actually says "Japan movement" on the back. I called customer service and explained the situation and they issued me a full refund. The authenticity of the watch I received is definitely questionable. Outside of the watch itself, the band has very cheap leather. For $40, I guess you might say the watch is okay, but please don't advertise falsely.

This product visually is gorgeous, top quality, watch for life, absolutely stunning as seen.. however, it arrived today, new battery, within 5 hours I had to reset the watch hands twice, it doesn’t keep time at all!! The first time was about 3 hours after I got it, the watch was 15 mins behind! The second time was 2 hours later and the watch was a good 7 mins behind. This is clearly a fairy product and I am gutted as the watch is so beautiful! I almost don’t want to return it, however I will as a watch that doesn’t keep time is useless.

Ho atteso qualche tempo per poter valutare meglio il prodotto. Innanzitutto l'orologio si presenta bene: robusto e sobriamente elegante. Buona fattura di materiali e di assemblaggio. Il cinturino è in pelle, forse un poco rigido, per ora. La cassa ha una dimensione importante, quindi se avete un polso sottile e femmineo... lasciate perdere. Come dovrebbe lasciar perdere chi cerca un orologino "sbarazzino" o da adolescente, pieno di pulsanti od orpelli vari... la foto non dovrebbe lasciar dubbi... certamente non credo che sia molto veritiero il prezzo pieno, quello scontato è decisamente più realistico... forse qualcosina in più di valore effettivo, ce l'ha, ma non esageriamo.... Oggetto onesto. Fa in ogni caso la sua figura al polso. Personalmente lo consiglio.

The watch arrived pretty quick and looks ok but the advertised one has swiss made written at the bottom which suggest it has swiss quarz/movement. The one I received does not have that written and has Japanese movement. That's bad practice. I received not the product I ordered!

Por el precio que pagué, me parece una buena alternativa, aunque es económico, su diseño y acabado es muy bueno, el tamaño de la caja facilita la lectura de la hora y el cristal se ve de buena calidad.

The watch is a amazing. Love it and I brought it for someone living in jamaica..nice.again money well spent.....
