Worth a try
So far so good. Had hvac come and add 3 lbs of refrigerant and told me I must have a significant leak and probably need to replace my unit. Received Leak Stop 3 days later and applied it myself. Now a week later and a few 90 degrees days and a/c is still working well. Supper easy to use with the co2 applicator they sell separately. This may save me a ton of money if it continues to work.

Wow...it works! Even on high side leaks!!! Read!
Ok please read my back story. I'm a handy guy, I can fix almost anything. There are only two mechanical things I am not experienced in. 1) Automotive transmissions and...2) Home HVAC. I know the basic principle of home HVAC but never had the tools to work on it or guidance to teach me. Anyway, I have a house on the water, ocean access water in the Ft Lauderdale area. The AC on my home is a 20 year old 4 ton Rheem unit, R22 and exposed to salty humid air. It cools fantastic but over the years there have been a few leaks on the U tubes on the condenser coil (the outside unit, high side) and I had a long time AC guy that has welded the leaks and got me going. This last time a couple weeks ago the AC guy basically told me "my AC is shot I need an entire new system and he can't and won't attempt another repair, the cost of a new system is $8,000". Well I don't have $8,000 so he basically told me "good luck" and left. That's when I started researching these leak stop shots. My long time AC guy said my R22 system was empty and I believed him because the AC was cooling one day, then the next day freezing up then the next day barely blowing cold, the next day the low pressure switch was shutting the compressor down. Ok so I did my research. I bought two of these Leak Saver injections and a 15 pound can of R22....which was incredibly expensive, but cheaper than a new system. So i hooked the can of R22 to the leak savers and shot them in followed by a nice charge of R22. It's been about 2 weeks and the AC has never worked better! Also my AC guy said my system was empty, it's a 4 ton and holds about 11 pounds of R22 and it took 7 pounds to fill so I have plenty of extra 22 and an extra leak saver for the future just in case. People, this Leak Saver WORKS! My 4 ton R22 split system was leaking out at a rate that would have left it empty in a week, it's been 2 weeks and it's blowing cold! Plus I am putting the gauges on every few days to monitor pressure, it is stable! I am amazed this Leak Saver worked. Blown away actually. I gave this stuff about a 5% chance of working on a 4 ton high side leak. Give this a shot before spending thousands. Your biggest expense will be buying R22 but it is available online.

Saved My 2002 Trane XR12 from the Scrap Heap. Ice Cold Air Again!
THIS JUST SAVED ME $8,000.I have a 2002 Trane XR12 in Texas that's been slowly leaking R-22 for years. Every couple of summers, it would freeze over, and I'd have to get it topped off just to get through the heat. This year, the situation got worse. I called at least four HVAC companies. All of them either refused to top it off or insisted that stop leak products don't work. Instead, they pushed hard to sell me a brand new $8,000 system.Out of desperation, I tried Leak Saver. I used two units along with the injector tool, which cost about $130 total. I added it right after a fresh R-22 charge from a reclaimed independent source, which alone was nearly $300. The result? We are back to running ice cold. It has been weeks with no freezing, no leaks, and no issues. If I get six months out of this, it was absolutely worth it. I have seen other people say they are getting a few years, so I am hopeful. I will update if the leak comes back, but for now, I could not be happier. Leak Saver kept my old unit alive and saved me thousands.Definitely worth trying before replacing your whole HVAC.

Game-Changer for AC Issues
I love this product! Instead of an expensive unit replacement for a refrigerant leak, Leak Stop saved the day. Even after a week of scorching 90-degree weather, my AC is still working perfectly. Applying it was a breeze, especially with the convenient CO2 applicator. Highly recommend for saving money and hassle-free maintenance!

Good idea that didn't perform
Was very interested to see if this product worked. My system has a very small leak, so a leak stopper might work. This product would not release the chemical into the system. I followed the directions including the added instruction to tighten the assembly more than what would be expected. It still didn't release. Also, due to the recommended tightening, the assembly distorted and damaged my service valve. And the male side tightening distorted my service hoses.I emailed the company and received no response.I like the idea of the product but it doesn't work.

AC leak stop
Delivery was quicker than the projected date which seems to be standard with Amazon. I used this on a 6 year old system that developed a slow Freon leak in the evaporator coil (attic). It was injected yesterday but won’t know of the success for a week or two. If my Freon hasn’t leaked out by then I’ll assume the leak stop worked. I used this same system at my last home and it worked. It beats spending several thousand dollars replacing a coil. It will at a minimum buy you some time as long as it’s a small leak. AC companies DO NOT like this product. They would much rather you pay them. I’ll update later once I know the results.
