These mug covers do work and work well. Teamed up with an insulated mug or, in my case, a double wall glass mug, my coffee stays nice and hot throughout the time I leisurely drink it.Regardless of how strong my coffee is or how long I take before wiping down the cover, not a trace of the drink remains. It is very odor impervious.The suction is just enough to keep the lid in place, too. Great design!

I'm very happy with these. I use mugs that are larger than normal coffee cups--the diameter of my mugs is 4". The lid's flat side fits exactly and the pointed part hangs over the edge a little. There is just enough to push down a tiny bit to create suction. On the 4" mugs, the suction works, but is weak. I tried it on a smaller, more normal-sized mug (3") and the suction was so strong I was able to lift it from the counter using the pointy thing on the top of the lid. So anybody with regular-sized cups, these work great. And anybody with large mugs, wondering if these work...they do, just don't expect NASA-grade air-tight suction.Before buying these, I considered a couple of the other silicone drink covers on Amazon but they were all about 4" too and since I knew my mugs were 4", I worried they might slip right into the cup if I pressed down on them. I'm glad I went with these umbrella-looking ones because the pointy edges give it just enough extra. I also use an electric cup warmer and the lids keep the coffee much warmer than without them. They came packaged in a bag with the (U.S.) 'FDA' logo saying "FDA approved silicone".

My quest for the ideal lid began the day I nearly gulped down a spider with my morning coffee. It seems that the spider, whose leg span I estimated at just over an inch, liked starting its day with a dip in a heated pool.I couldn’t tell if the spider had climbed the side of the mug or lowered itself from the ceiling. Either way, I was suddenly quite interested in lids. Although the odds were low that another spider might someday play Mark Spitz in my coffee, the mere thought of eight, wildly kicking legs in my mouth was all it took to send me lid-hunting.Looking back, I’m not quite sure why I settled on the AvecToi. Twelve bucks seemed steep for a pair of flexible, plastic octagons. (One side per spider leg?) But if you can imagine being thrilled with a lid, thrilled I am.The AvecToi, it turns out, does a good deal more than provide a spider barrier. Besides covering the mug, it seals it. I mean, really seals it. It seals it so well that you can pick up a 16-ounce mug of coffee by the lid’s center stem. I know this firsthand, because, feeling foolhardy, I gave it a try. Yet grasp the lid by the edge, and it comes right off. The seal lessens the likelihood of spills—and holds temperature in. I use an electric coffee warmer, which on its own keeps coffee tepid at best. When I add an AvecToi lid to the equation, the coffee stays HOT. Bonus benefit: if you’re having soda, it keeps carbonation in.Now when I take my time sipping my morning coffee, I am worry-free as to spiders, and my coffee stays hot.The product is easily worth the twelve bucks.

I ordered these to go along with a Mr. Coffee warmer, to keep my drinks (tea and coffee) hot, to prevent constant trips to the microwave for warming. They do the job and also serve to protect from dust, etc. getting into my drinks. I like the slight suction, which keeps the cover in place. As another reviewer mentioned, they do collect dust, which causes frequent washing. And, of course, if they are put on top of a hot drink, they do become wet from the contained heat. I have this on my desk/work area, so this causes a problem when I remove the covers; I have to be careful so it won't drip on things. For this reason, I've decided to use these covers on cold drinks. But, overall they work as advertised!

I make a full pot of tea in the morning but don't always finish it. Sometimes it's nice to have a bit left over for a mid-day pick up with a cookie or two. In the past, I poured the leftover tea into my mug and stored it in the microwave to keep out the dust and keep in the flavor. Alas, it would always seem to be in the way. What I needed was something to seal the top of the cup. I imagined some sort of silicone cover, perhaps a coaster?And then I found these. They are absolutely perfect. They sit flat on top of the cup, and with the slightest bit of downward pressure, they vacuum seal to the top of the mug. When it's tea time in the afternoon, you simply pop it off, rinse off any condensation, and air dry. I wash mine by hand once a week or so, though they are probably ok in the dishwasher.They are light, easy to store, easy to clean, and get the job done. At first, I wondered about the umbrella looking ribs, but now I see they are there to help it keep its shape and keep a good seal on the mug. If you are looking for something to keep your drink fresh for later, these are perfect.

These little mug covers are better than I'd anticipated. Dimensions are 4.125" across from straight edge to opposite straight edge, and 4.5" across from point to opposite point. The covers stay firmly in place on my 3.25" diameter mug with a bit of suction to prevent them slipping off. The silicone material is just thick enough that they don't flop into the mug. My coffee and tea are now noticeably warmer than with the plastic coffee can lid I had been using. They rinse off easily and dry with a little shake or two. The only thing I'd change is to have a slightly bigger center knob -- not a problem for my fingers, but a little difficult for larger fingers to grasp. I feel silly being so excited over such a simple product, but it's so nice to get something that really works well, I love them and will order more.

埃除け目的に使い始めましたが、それ以上にサーモスのコップと組み合わせて使ってると保温/保冷性能がとても向上して重宝してます。飲み終わったコップの蓋としてもそのまま使用し続ける事で、多少そのまま放置しててもコップの中が乾燥しきって飲み残しが跡になってこびり付くなんて事もなくなって、ホントちょっとした便利アイテムに過ぎないと言えば過ぎないんですが、一度使い出すと手放せなくなります。難点と言えば、洗うモノの量がこの蓋の分、増えるのと、温かい飲み物に蓋をしていた場合に内側に大量の水滴が溜まって、蓋を取る時にうっかりするとけっこうな量の滴を周りに垂らしてしまう事ですね。

『商品寸法 (長さx幅x高さ) 11.9 x 11.9 x 0.3 cm』と表記されているが、実際は11.5cmもない。大きめのコップと計量カップに使おうと思っていたが、使えそうにない。
