SOLARAY Organic Garlic 560 mg, 100 VegCaps

I’ve recently implemented various small changes to my lifestyle to become healthier and to lose weight. Another difference is I am getting acupuncture to help ease the arthritis pain in my right knee… rather than going into the hospital again for another replacement knee surgery. I was given a book from renown medical Dr. Sandra Cabot, and she suggests taking a course of garlic daily. I read the other reviews on Amazon.com about how these supplements have a strong smell. I’m not able to smell many things (not sure what the problem with my nose is; that can be dealt with after other health challenges are solved) so I was disappointed that I couldn’t smell these capsules when I opened the container. Well, let me tell you! They are the real deal. I confirmed this visiting my elderly mother and she says I just reek of garlic. In fact, I guess I am stinking up entire rooms. No one else has mentioned it, like my acupuncturist or people at work. Okay, so the garlic or the allicin that smells is present in these capsules. What about the health benefits? Below is a record of my blood pressure taken on various dates during 2016: 2016-01-19: 130/80 2016-04-15: 146/86 2016-05-12: 144/78 and 125/73 (official bi-annual doctor visit) 2016-06-15: 144/82 and 138/82 2016-12-01: 134/69 (official bi-annual doctor visit) The last entry was only days ago at my December bi-annual doctor visit. Please note that I was ELEVEN POUNDS HEAVIER than in May, and yet look at the blood pressure result. I was only on the garlic course for 2-3 weeks! The most impressive item to me is the diastolic reading. It is phenomenal for me. I’ve never achieved a diastolic reading in the 60’s before. I’ll keep my weight private, but let me assure you it’s a lot for my height. I’m very happy with the early result of taking these capsules. Right now, I am not sure how I will deal with the social issue of body odor, but my long-term health is very important to me. Dr. Cabot says that odorless garlic capsules are not as effective, but they can help somewhat. I really want to be healthy so if I must stink… ?

these bad boys have a strong odor.however there is no garlic burpyness after taking. the pills are about the height of a nickel and slightly wider than a pencil's eraser.

Got this today! Opened the bottle, and a pretty good smell of garlic (those who hate garlic smell; beware. I love the smell). The smell says that this is potent stuff. Took two capsules at once with a small meal and water. After maybe 30-45 mins, I started getting garlic burps (again, if you hate the garlic burps or the garlic aftertaste, this is not for you; but then you are likely someone who will never be able to consume garlic in any form). Its too early for me to talk to the health benefits. I will update as days go by and if I notice the health benefits. One great thing is, this is extremely well produced with no fillers and only a veggie capsule used, thereby making this 100% vegan. At 3 capsules a day, this should last me a little more than 3 months and I spent just $10 for this which makes it a terrific value add. I cant add garlic to my foods everyday. This makes it very easy to get garlic in my diet on a daily basis.
