This is a great book for men or women who either don't have someone experienced to help them around the house or don't have the experience themselves. I'm about half and half for this particular book and I'm going to take the tiled backsplash instructions and run with them and get a beautiful subway tiled backsplash. I did read the ceiling fan section closely even though that is an area I have experience in, just to see if I missed anything (I really am not looking forward to crawling into our attic to fix someone else's mistake), but I didn't. It's a very thorough book and very easy to understand. I'm going to look at their others to see if I need to add them to my library too.

I owned this ebook for quite a while before actually reading it. I planned to use it as a reference book on an as needed basis. A hole in my wall is responsible for my personal introduction to Date to Repair. As I began to skim through the book dozens of interesting topics caught my eye. Reading through the section on wall repair, I found myself thinking, "I can do this." The step-by-step instructions are clear, easy to understand, and complete from start to finish. Anyone would benefit from the information and instructions in this book.

I love this book and the earlier Dare to Repair. It gives simple instructions for making simple repairs. Bought one as a gift too, for a new homeowner.

Very basic and leaves out any "tricks of the trade" tips that I have found in other books, but good for a first timer like a teenager on their own for the first time.

This is a very good book for the do it yourselfer. The explanations and diagrams are very clear and the step by step features makes this a very useable book for even the most novice repair person.
